I just chose it because I thought of Shaolin monks
Best justification for it I’ve seen (still can’t say I’m on-board but that’s a cool connection you made)
I guess that’s true, but then again it’s pretty common for monks to be depicted with a quarterstaff and in some media they’re proficient with many different manners of weapons
who says a staff can’t be a spirit weapon?
Seeing people stick with warlord hurts my brain
Like a warlord has nothing to do with weapons or martial arts, they’re literally just people who have political power
True, most will depict them using non-lethal weapons or blunt weapons to get the point around. I thought of Apostle for Juggernaut, but it is too general in my opinion
Especially for Warlock too. There is not a lot to work with if it involved strength ngl
Apostle would fit because Carina is an apostle and she has 2.4k hp despite her damage being that of a lvl 20’s
Considering the fact that Carina is a Juggernaut, maybe that could work
Ngl I hope in Full Release, Carina gets a full rework to have a droppable spirit weapon. I think Spirit builds will have a lot of trouble if they can only get spirit weapons from minibosses that they wouldn’t even know exist, so having some story bosses who drop them would be nice, especially in the first sea. This would also justify Carina existing at all since currently she doesn’t serve a huge point.
It wouldn’t make much sense without context though, an apostle is just an emissary of the divine, not a fighter.
Hence why I suggest ‘pankrati’, a derivation of ‘pankration’ which was an early form of boxing in ancient greece (where the gods are from). Of course, this wouldn’t be intuitive at all either, but there isn’t really any good alternatives to “a holy martial artist which specialises in unarmed combat”.
Vetex said she’s a Berserker but we can pray
I really tried to rename Warrior like Weaponmaster or Armiger but I just defaulted to Warrior
what are these names bro
Don’t include pugilist in that… it’s a proper word and would be used much more than “brawler” by the nobility.
Don’t diss Kiryu Kazuma
Mangos mangos class
I just thought of olympian for juggernaut, you know like the athletes that compete in the olympics. But I don’t think the olympic games are a thing in the AO universe…
Pugulist just fills the bill. Though it is associated with boxing, brawler just means anyone who likes to get in to rough fights
get a patron to ask? this seems plausible
