Pristine's Potion Pursuit (5mil progress)

Earth Thermo was probably my favorite, yeah.

Earth + Basic: It’s honestly a better version of base Iron Leg, but Iron Leg’s bleed makes it better on Warlock with certain imbues.

Earth + Boxing: Statwise, it’s worse than Basic Combat in every way. Still fun regardless.

Earth + Sailor: Fuck ton of AoE and great damage, only downside is that you can’t cause Bleed for yourself without Gel (Warlock Ultimate Arts when…)

Earth + Thermo: Basic Combat’s damage, just about Basic Combat’s speed, just about Basic Combat’s AoE, but a nice Burn and a pretty fast Crash. Very consistent and reliable.

Earth + Cannon Fist: Might be alright after the CFist changes, but with slow imbues it’s currently just a shittier Iron Leg.

Earth + Iron Leg:

This has just turned into “Pristine hits people with rocks”

Gah damn, 3 million exp? That’s some grinding right there. On average what do you think is the most common regent you find yourself using?

It’s changed a lot over time.

Overall my most brews by far are with fish bones. They’re very easy to trade for and I know quite a few people who love to fish. I also find myself fishing with arly quite commonly, so it’s always nice to snag a few hundred bones per session. Back during the race, an indirect trade with AlexSchulyer (the Fishing Champion) netted me six thousand. I’ve brewed upwards of seventeen thousand vials of Harming I.

Second place has to be seaweed, as I stocked up a decent amount myself before the Brewing update, not to mention how much I bought some from people who grinded a comical amount on their own.

Toxic seawater takes third place, though I haven’t used much recently due to how time-consuming it is to fill bottles. It’s very easy to get trades with randoms for their empty bottles, and it was definitely a big part of my success in the initial race to 2 million Brewing XP.

Those are the top three. Askew roots and both kinds urchin spines I also find myself using quite commonly. I’ve also gotten a ton of scattered bursts of XP courtesy of Auric seaweed (I have over 100 Tier V Waterbreathing cauldrons) and other readily-available Tier V potions.

nice

The grind resumes.

(Nice)

I cannot imagine how you are going to crash the auction house economy for all these tier one potions LOL.

Presuming Professions end up working like they do in World of Warcraft or similar MMOs, I’ll probably wait to sell 'em until I max my Alchemy Profession. Right now they sell for 8 Galleons per vial, despite their value of 26 Galleons per vial. I have to wonder if the Alchemy Profession would up that sell price, even just a bit …

(I could already sell all my potions for well over 500 thousand Galleons.)

I wish I knew more about professions in general. It’s one of the major upcoming systems but it is not explained too much. Even wanted to suggest some profession ideas but without knowing the up-to-date plans that’s just silly.

Increasing the value of self-made items when they sell though? That’s a good start.

Pristine’s rival is probably Enizor

I have a feeling they’ll be similar to classic MMO professions; a reliable and consistent way to make Galleons and possibly receive other rewards / bonuses. I think Vetex mentioned they’d have long-term progression, so there’s that.

Grinding out all the reagents and catalysts I have on-hand today.

How many reagents and catalysts are needed for every 100k?

Every 100k is 1000 reagents and 2000 catalysts. XP-wise, I’ve blown through about 36000 reagents and 72000 catalysts.
