I really like the sound of that.
To me, seeing this gamepass read to me as “fuck you this feature’s never being changed, pay up or suffer”. Given the way some others have responded, I don’t think I’m the only one.
I really don’t get why vetex went on one of his rants about the community complaining about this when he could have cleared up literally everything by saying he was planning to improve it alongside the gamepass reveal.
How’s this on the community? This is a communication failure on the development side of things.
They released news that will be viewed as bad without the secondary news that explains how its good.
Especially on a topic like this that has exclusively gotten bad/no news since it released.
I’m not a fan of him slinging mud back, and I can see how that can be seen as not listening. On the other hand, while I haven’t seen any egregious behavior on the forums, if it was happening elsewhere, it can drown out legitimate feedback.
I believe people tend to create categories like “yes-man” based on explicit actions rather than implicit thoughts. Which is a good thing because you shouldn’t operate with things you can’t directly prove and everyone probably exhibits these behaviours to some extent.
But stuff like in-group bias still exist regardless of whether or not you are aware of them so it’s still important to not immediately dismiss yourself from being part of problem. There are probably things that I’ve said specifically to avoid the categorization of yes-man; it’s hard to operate around bias.
I don’t think this part factors into it seeing as how he changed his mind. I was only using it as a point because it shows that if he was convinced into making it a gamepass he likely didn’t do it specifically to be spiteful/predatory.
he definitely didn’t want it to exist in the first place and made it extremely difficult for what ever reason he didn’t want to add it to the game it the first place.
THIS, this made me mad. I have NO idea why people think vetex would add anything straight up predatory to his games. THEY. ARE. A. PASSION. PROJECT. Vetex saw world of magic’s success and thought he could do a better job. THAT. WAS. THE. POINT. vetex does not get a lot of credit for creating a game with barely any p2w features, absurd rates, and braindead simulator gameplay (except for fishing, but if I had to do a fishing minigame every time i caught a fish i think i might blow myself up). please respect vetex more and stop placing unrealistic expectations on him.
