I think for legendary weapons you can only equip one at a time. This would stop people from spamming legendary weapons a lot.

It’s likely that they either redirect magic energy in the atmosphere to amplify physical attacks for fighting styles and for weapon users I think it’s something like “enchanting” where there’s a separate type of magic(not like primordial or magic circles) that allows cool effects to happen
This could be a result of move advanced technologies developed within the war seas(war leads to advancement etc) as a reason why AO has this system but aa didn’t
