So essentially vetex looked at arcaniun weapons and went “these are too cool for other builds not to have” and made thematically sensical alternatives for the other builds. Neat! Also this may be the one thing that makes vitality builds actually worth going for in peoples eyes… until we see them in action.
That raises the question I’ve asked before, will arcanium weapons scale just as well of of magic as they do off of weapons? Is there something in place to weaken them on pure mage or pure weapon builds? I’m not saying there should be (except maybe for weapons since you don’t have magic to channel through them) because I like the idea of stat builds having a lot of things to play with that are powerful enough to not be overshadowed, I’m just wondering if they are.
You’re probably not going to be able to use them as pure mage or pure weapons
P.S. now that’s I’ve written this I realize that it’s almost completely unrelated to your question lol
I’ve wondered this a lot too, for both Arcanium weapons and magic infusion awakenings. Is the scale gonna be an exact average of 50% of each stat, or will there be some kind of calculation to make you get the most out of the infusion?
For example, let’s say you have a conjurer who went 60% magic and 40% weapons. they recently awakened and now their weapon damage scales off the average of their magic and weapon stat, so their weapon now does 50% magic dmg and 50% weapon damage. That’s a net profit for their weapons since they’re doing more damage overall, and it’s not like their magic is weakened cause magic itself still only scales off the magic stat so spells still do 60% full magic damage (holy hell what I’m trying to say is confusing.)
TLDR; a 60/40 (magic/weapon) conjurer’s stats are basically 60/50 after their first awakening and their weapons benefit positively from this. This logic applies to any conjurer whos magic stat is higher than their weapon stat (or any weapon hybrid whos other stat is higher than their weapon stat (except vit/wep hybrid))
Okay now you have another conjurer, but their weapon stat is 60% and magic stat is 40%. After the first awakening, assuming the scaling is 50/50, wouldn’t their weapons now be doing less damage than it was pre-awakening? So they’re negatively impacted by scaling with magic, and don’t gain any benefits.
Of course I probably have no idea what I’m talking about and I also don’t know how scaling will work so this is all just a mindless speculative ramble
bro typing out a paragraph
Too much free time
well fuck
I’m fairly certain this would specifically apply to normal weapons as you infuse them with your magic after awakening.
srry what
That’s… what happens when you delete a post it’s displays that before the system deletes it.
no like what did you say tho
It was already said
Yeah, didn’t include Arcanium weapons cause I have no idea how they’ll work
Ah that’s what you meant by doesn’t relate to what I said
plasma could have 3 variants actually
since plasma could be referring to 3 different things
blood plasma (just piss)
fire plasma (just fire)
lightning plasma (just lightning but people think its pink)
Isn’t fire just burning ash that’s why holding stuff in a fire covers it in ash, it takes more than just fire to make plasma
Edit: Burning particulates in general
wait it is a gas nvm plasmas current look matches
plasma: quartz variant
also blood plasma is colorless apparently
its stained yellow from blood i think
