comically large ketch
āHey can i get some sealed chests?ā
āOnly a ketchfulā
Nah i be usin rowboats like mihawk
Iām going to use a caravel probably because it seems like it possibly could be the best in terms of getting around effectively
Ketch is bigger and faster so idk why you wouldnāt use it
how do you know its faster
Thatās just my guess that the common boats that vetex is adding now are linear upgrades so it would mean the ketch is faster as well with overall better stats
I mean like going rowboat->sailboat->caravel->ketch->frigate
Like frigate will be objectively better than ketch and ketch objectively better than caravel etc.
I assume larger boats will be slower. Players that arenāt interested in ship combat and donāt need to haul a lot of cargo probably would prefer a smaller, faster boat.
still seems weird imo, since every boat has a distinct use (irl i mean), itās not like thereās a boat thatās just the best at everything
Tbf, we donāt use stuff like ketches anymore the terminology hasnāt even survived in modern day navyās but stuff like frigates still exist in modern naval terminology
I think it would be reasonable to say that the frigate will be the fastest and biggest ship on release just because we havenāt seen much alteration and currently the caravel is the biggest and fastest so weāll see if ketch is bigger and faster as well
Mihawk didnāt have a row boat his ship was wind powered
Wasnāt the sailboat the fastest in AA?
This isnāt about realism itās about game balance
I mean, in AR, itās somewhat of a tie between the sailboat and the rowboat, essentially lag determines the faster of the two
And, weāre all forgetting that turning speed is another stat that bigger ships will almost certainly lose in
In the to-do list, it outright states that the Ketch is bigger, faster, and has more equip slots than the Caravel.
