This is going to go on until vetex does something intresting

Hm thatā€™s the first time in a while that he hasnā€™t finished a magics visual revamp in one go

He was probably working really hard on finishing the Ketch as well as doing the magic, either that or explosion is just harder to visually revamp

Either that or Iā€™m over analysing it way too much

I cast. NUKE

cant wait, explosion will be my second
magic and will be used to cast utter destruction on small towns

It was like, 2 or 3 am at the time for him so itā€™s understandable.

I just had a thought, why do some people not want mages to be able to have 5 magics as they say its too many, but not realise theoretically warlocks would be able to get a magic, a fighting style, a lost/possibly ancient magic depending on stats a lost fighting style and either another magic or fighting style, that seems even more complicated than having 5 magics.

cause more different stuff to try out

I really hope mages still can get 5 magics because my plan would be to have an Ice/Water combo with Light magic as a ranged more supportive magic (Probably going to use aura spell to move around quickly), I will also, if the lost/ancient magics stay mostly the same, have blizzard which could be used to help freeze opponents and deal a ton of damage in general. Then I would have Shatter magic, which firstly is one of the most underrated ancient magics, secondly can be used as a defensive magic, and thirdly, it theoretically could act like metal and earth magic against frozen opponents, dealing lots of damage (I really hope it works like that It has no reason not to unless ice/water combos become meta).

Also if this post makes an argument again

Dont ask what I will do I donā€™t have a plan yet, also all of this might totally fail as soon as lost magics come out, please remember this is entirely theoretical

Tbh I feel like most mages will just take 2 of their base magics off their toolbar and replace them with direct upgrades. For example a magma/snow/shadow mage would eventually neglect snow and shadow and replace them with blizzard and darkness

That might be the case, but lost and ancient magics would likely take up far more energy due to how powerful they are.

Yeah ancient magics are probably going to take up plenty of energy which is why I wonā€™t use shatter as offensive, just to stop powerful attacks and hopefully finish any freeze combos, this gives another reason for why shatter is underrated as you donā€™t have to be attacking constantly for it to be at its most powerful

I think they will still probably be viable. You can get off statuses with them for synergies and they could act as a low energy blast if you need it, their jumps also ainā€™t bad.

I agree with you. Itā€™d be super helpful to have a magic that could excel in clashes and disarming incoming attacks alongside whatever positive interactions it has with your own magics.
