I’m guessing that ship weapons would just take way too long to add and balance before the game’s release. Vetex still has to:
- Finish the Base Fighting Style Techniques.
- Add Boxing, Crane Style, Sailor’s Fist, and Thermo Fist, along with all of their effects, functions, and quests to obtain them.
- Add 5 findable Fighting Style Techniques.
- Add a new Base Magic Spell to replace Hover.
- Add 5 findable Base Magic Spells.
- Add island-specific weapons and armor.
- Add the third set of Weapon Skills.
- Finish NPC Ships.
- Make the Grand Navy joinable and functional for players.
- Make the Assassin Syndicate joinable and functional for players.
- Finish the Bronze Sea storyline.
- Finish Awakenings.
- Modify all abilities to use Energy instead of Stamina, make Energy passively recharge, make whatever changes to M1s Vetex mentioned on Twitter.
- Add the entire 2nd magic system.
- Add the entire 2nd fighting style system.
- Add whatever the Vitality awakening benefits are.
- Add whatever the Savant awakening benefits are.
- Make the Weapon Aura effects for every Weapon Skill.
- Add the system to imbue magic on fighting styles. This includes a system for every magic’s effects to be added to the effects of every Fighting Style Technique type with all 5 different obtainable Fighting Styles.
- Add the system to imbue magic on weapons. This includes adding every magic effect to every skill at every level and tier.
- Add the system to imbue fighting styles on weapons. This includes adding every different obtainable Fighting Style’s effects onto the effects of every different Weapon Skill at every level and tier.
- Add the Sensing feature.
- Add Arcanium Weapons.
- Add more activities and their loot pools.
- Add the Dark Seas.
- Add mobile compatibility.
- Balance all of the above.
- Finish the new world map.
- Finish the new world news.
- Update the tutorial.
- Fix bugs.
- Make a trailer, advertisements, etc.
- Release.
All this within the next 4 months. Yeah, I don’t think there’s any room for Ship Weapons

nah I doubt he would finish ALL of this in 4 months, maybe half or more by early access
well everything before add the the sensing feature is arguably necessary for public release except for maybe grand navy and assassins syndicate being joinable. I can see sensing, dark seas, and arcanium weapons cominng some time after early access

right so i think the other fighting styles would be worked on during early access (at least the ‘lost’ ones cause not big point for early)

I’m curious how bad reps will obtain island-exclusive weapons and armor, since they can only shop at bad rep islands, with the exception of shipwrights.
Perhaps there could be a smuggler on the bad rep island, with a selection of only a few island-specific weapons and armor, and that selection rotates with time? Balances it out so bad reps can still get everything but they don’t have easy access to every island-exclusive item while good reps need to go between several islands to get everything they need.
maybe the smugglers are hiding on the island itself
or a small group of bandits on each island who have the islands shops
