Reminders for AO (Part 2)

The confusion is why

Of course, but as you stated later, the development speed is horrendous with lots of major content points missing

Most of his career has been failures on failures with low playercounts. His only success was AA which was released in 2016 when the bar of expectations was set very low for quality games.

Fair, but MY point is that WoM could’ve been just as fleshed out with some other devs or contributors which wouldve only set him back a few thousand in terms of how much he wouldve made in comparsion.

true, but they could still collaborate together on vetex’s vision, vetex could still lead the project

What about the forums, all of his devoted players waiting years for a good game?

he did have some help tho

Not serious contributors, just some designs, tree modifications and ideas. Only one was serious and that was builidn thorins refuge

Yes, and he will get to all that eventually at his own pace, without any influence from other devs.

As far as I can tell, a lot of his earlier career was trial and error. AA got screwed over by roblox, while WoM is being made into something better. I know that he does get money off of this stuff, though. But yes, his career in development has been through some troubled waters.

Yes, and it still would’ve been fleshed out eventually, unless Roblox did a second round of trolling or he had some other issues. Don’t worry, AO will be fleshed out i’m sure

If it’s out of his comfort zone, there’s nothing any of us can do about it. We should be happy he’s making a free game for us.

They can wait a bit longer, they’re not entitled to his hard work.

In conclusion, he’ll get where he wants eventually, and if he doesn’t want any other devs influencing his work then we can’t make him.

didn’t you include making ideas as one of your main reasons to get a team

Infernoferno is a tester that enjoys both and he has stated that they are both good in their own ways, one isn’t exactly just superior than the other (unless he changed his mind and I didn’t see it)

honestly think he only said that because he prefers deep and doesnt want people to get mad :sob:

Well prefering one doesn’t exactly mean he thinks the other is worse, I think he has stated he plays Deepwoken more and only plays AO during combat changes (which apparently like every tester does :skull:)

it’s his game, he can do whatever he wants with it, and he doesn’t need to hire people because like cryo said having more people than just tech and meta working on it could skew the game away from his vision

some things i like more in each game than the other
ex. ao does boat customization way better

I mean to be fair there’s like no boat customization at all in Deepwoken unless you do barrel builds, but I see what you mean

This entire topic has gone from deepwoken argument to developing argument

I still see more pros than cons in my argument, but you’ve closed it well.

I said part of the main reasons, however i should probably restate that. I meant other devs could suggest ideas that could actually be deved by the same person who envisioned it

This is so completely false, idk why people keep stressing on it. You could have the same vision shared with other peoples ideas. Its not three visions meshed into one. Plus, look at how big of a dev team deepwoken has, and so far every main dev is v happy with how the game turned out and are still making changes to make the game even better.

Yeah, I think in the end it matters more about how he wants to develop his game, what he’s comfortable with, and Vetex’s own choice than the actual negative effect it could possibly have. Everyone has their own complicated reasons in their head about things and there’s nothing we can do about Vetex’s decision after all
