Reminders for AO (Part 2)

argos is one of my people

Warlord is my first planned build cause we haven’t seen weapons or fighting styles in wom so why not try both on paid access with warlord

Ohh I get what you mean, basically like how Arcanium weapons conduct your magic energy you think strength weapons will “conduct” the effects of your fighting style? Could see that being a possibility

Really hope so since they seemed like a cool addition, I kinda hope they don’t function like weapons/ scale with weapon stat though. I imagined them being more a tool that enhances the conduction of your magic or spells in some way

Hmm, some ideas (just going off how I imagine them working):

  • brass knuckles (damage  )
  • arm weights & leg weights (movement and attack speed , damage )
  • idk ran out of ideas

Exactly

It would be weird if they scaled with weapons too cause they don’t have much fighting capability outside of casting spells, like a wand crystal ball and magic book.
I would imagine something like crystal ball increases aoe a small amount Magic tome increases casting speed a small amount and magic wand increases damage a small amount in exchange for lowering a different stat a small amount
The reason I’m not saying a large amount because arcanium weapons exist

Maybe something that increases speed and maybe another than increases aoe similar to the crystal ball I mentioned above

You know… You’d expect Thermal Fist to have glowing orange heat effects, but Argos’ fighting style (if that’s what it is) has red fiery effects. I’ll bet that he uses Thermal Fist, but it’s been upgraded by 1 tier, so it’s the same power as a Lost Fighting Style. It wouldn’t be very far-fetched. The second boss uses a Lost Magic, so I don’t think it’d be bad for balance if the fourth boss has a Lost Fighting Style and very powerful weapons.

Had the same line of thinking

Another idea: Thrusting weapons like spears and lances are very fast (irl at least), you can jab and thrust very quickly. Thus, they’d be ideal for Thermal Fist warlords, because you need to be attacking a lot if you want to get high heat. Further ‘evidence’ supporting the theory of Argos possibly being a Thermal Fist user. He’s definitely not a conjurer, the 3rd story boss was already a conjurer as hinted at because of his lightning weapons, so the 4th being one as well would be too repetitive, and him owning a strength weapon just doesn’t line up with that either.

I felt like that was a given, the fact that he dropped a strength weapon wouldn’t make sense unless he himself was a warlord
We have no confirmation on the sky boss though, he could just be a normal weapon user
If he was a conjurer that means there’s something special about every boss in the bronze sea
The hermit dude from redwake has some invisibility ability which is terrifying
Iris has a lost magic
The sky boss would be a conjurer
And argos would be a warlord

Speaking of this yall ever think claws could have ended up being for fighting styles rather than weapons?

There’s a hermit confirmed with invisibility magic? I didn’t hear about that.

First boss, something about polluting the waters of redwake

I don’t remember much of the specifics about him

Interesting concept since its close range could have it function more similarly to an FS than weapon, but I wonder if it would’ve been too similar to what vampirism’s planned to be cause it would probably focus on bleed (although with the new fighting style evolution concept maybe it could’ve been altered to be some lesser version of vampirism?)

The thing about the new evolution concept is that it retains the existence of list fighitng styles, it just that lost ones can be upgraded in to “ancient” ones while common ones can be upgraded to “lost” ones

Maybe, it would’ve been interesting, but it could be a strength weapon then even though it doesn’t follow the “big” bill

If that doesn’t imply invisibility then I don’t know what does

It could also be a type of “flashstep” ability

Idk, it doesn’t sound like it

Now that we’re getting strength weapons we might get arcanium weapons soon as well. I hope vetex implements an arcanium weapon with each weapon and hopefully a strength weapon with each type as well, cause they can’t be too different from each other other than the particles/effects they use.
I also hope we get spirit weapons but that might be pushing it

why the fuck do you guys start such long arguements :sob: there hasnt even been 3 trello releases
