I’d argue Fairy Tail inspired the magic almost entirely and not just the magic circles. It’s feel, it’s impact, the visuals, just about every aspect of it. I don’t think it’s a 1:1 comparison but clearly there is more influence than just the magic circles being used. Still nice seeing it get credit since I always did think of AA as One Piece x Fairy Tail.
