Revised Lore Doc Discussion

iirc 1-6 weren’t human or so and the gods are just a special type of human or smth i believe, so prometheus is out on being 6th ig. but aside from that i’d say it might be accurate but up to lss

He is human, just very strong

Cursebeard’s doppelganger on the other side of the world:

Since Vetex may have changed the lore about the 11 Unknowns being more powerful than Cursebeard or the Gods, it’s possible that the #8 spot may have originally been Prometheus then Cursbeard, later taken by Peackeeper.
I remember Vetex stating that #1 is Chaos, #2 is the Creator of the Universe, who created the Universe as an experiment, mainly something to do with how Chaos feeds on Universes from what I can recall. #3 or anyone else from the top of the list that’s not human were the ones who created the Gods, I think. But since Vetex changed how the 11 Unknowns work, this could’ve been changed now.
Oh, I also remembered that Hades was originally going to be an Unknown too until lore changed about 11 Unknowns being more powerful than the Gods. Since it’s changed back, Hades is probably now 11th, or perhaps sharing that spot with Freedrock. (If he lives, that is…)

This leaves:
#1 Chaos
#2 Creator of the Universe
#3, #4, #5, #6 may be the ones who created the Gods (one of these could also be this “ancient threat” we face in AO.)
#7 Torren
#8 Prometheus, then Cursebeard, now PK
#9 Zeus
#10 Poseidon
#11 Hades and/or Freedrock

Oh yeah, Vetex had many crazy ideas about the 11 Unknowns. One of them is an Unknown that’s been on the Earth for millions of years, with their power greater that of a God’s… Could this be the end-game boss? Perhaps, since it was stated we’re gonna defeat the world’s most ancient threat.
Idk, I’m just throwing out ideas rn. I kinda have a stock of screenshots about anything lore-related Tech and Vetex said in Discord about WoM, some about the Unknowns. I could probably share some of them, but only if you guys want me to-

Peacekeeper V2

The player in Arcane Odyssey awakes on an abandoned island with no recollection of how they got there or who they are, along with a man their age named Morden. And thus, their adventure begins.

Seems like Morden will be more like Jake from PBB

Honestly it sounds completely uninspired and doesn’t really act as a sequel. A good sequel should have the actions of the player in the game before it directly or indirectly influence the plot of the next game and this is just some random set of islands where nothing we did in the lore of the last game had any effect on whatsoever. I’m still annoyed that Vetex dropped the continent idea which was in my opinion way more immersive and greatly influenced by us in the last game which is in every way a true sequel to arcane.

It even has the same beginning where the player just magically appears on an island with someone (which doesn’t really make sense at all because they couldn’t have been revived, Durza died like a month ago) who is supposed to replace Theos. I was really hyped for TGR but now Vetex has just made it out for what I believe is just an official arcane clone where it even sounds like an exact imitation in a different location in concept. I understand why he had to do it, because the map is massive and takes a toll on the performance for many people, but even doing something such as making non-combat npc’s stationary is significant as it makes the game lose a lot of the life and immersion that made world of magic special. We weren’t some “chosen one” who happened to be revived and has lots of potential, in this game we’re literally just an ordinary person with magic like the rest of Magius who can choose their own path as their story unfolds.

I don’t really expect people to support this, I just wanted to express my opinion about the lore changes that I find very uninteresting. This may be the easiest solution performance-wise, but I think that if vetex is so ambitious about his game then it’d be best in the long run for arcane odyssey/world of magic to become a standalone game off of roblox’s platform.

Think of it less as a continuation and more as a different story told in the same universe.

Most of your criticism comes from the fact that we don’t know anything about the story yet. There is most likely a reason that our character appears on an island that hasn’t been revealed yet.

There is no reason to believe that Morden will become a mentor character. I assume he will act more like an equal that we interact with throughout the story, though that is just speculation.

This isn’t an AA clone. It will have a different story (even though the start seems similar). It also has a much better magic system. In my opinion, it is a direct improvement to AA, assuming Vetex delivers on his promises.

No. I don’t think you realize how hard this would be. For one, he would have to learn another programming language and become skilled at it, which could take years. Second, it would take an extremely long time to make the game itself (once he’s learned how to even use the engine). Good games take millions of man-hours, and there is simply no way that Vetex could conceivable make a game as good as Arcane Oddessy on another platform. Even if he did, it likely would not become popular, and Vetex would earn next to nothing for his years of development.

But will he betray us LIKE Jake?

No. Iirc, they don’t count as unknowns since they dead.

That list technically is wrong. It is correct for the past, but currently out of date. Iirc, the gods don’t count as unknowns now since they’re dead. Furthermore, Cursebeard never became an unknown. He’s way too weak, compared to even the eleventh unknown. Additionally, Cursebeard also only beat the gods because of some specific conditions we don’t know of yet.

was the old sea a thing before the doc change?

cause i dont really remember all of this in the past lore
Around this time period, an unknown event happens in the Old Sea that causes most of its population to be wiped out. Some say that it was Chaos, and that some truly evil event must have happened for it to have appeared. The remaining people eventually sail north, as they now believe that the Old Sea is now cursed and dark. They eventually end up at the present-day Seven Seas.

also it now says Zeus and Poseidon are unknows and the 10th and 9th ones at that, so what unknown would Prometheus have been?

I don’t think it’s going to replace theos

Nagito Komaeda

WHY ARE PEOPLE KEEP THINKING HE IS AN UNKNOWN.

cause they made Zeus and Poseidon into unknowns

Who’s they?

the main character gods other than Prometheus
