idea: after the storyline concludes we have an option to pay a hefty fee of 1000-3000 robux to access a new storyline thats half the length of the war seas storyline that takes place in an new sea cluster.
the story would probably specifically be about the player or be about some new lore additions
if this was a real thing would you spend the million dollars to play it
yes!!! i love arcane odyssey
maybe it depends on how awesome it is
no. i am not a wage slave to big brother vetex.
0voters
items gained from it would be untradeable and would only serve a cosmetic purpose
Oh boy sounds like a relatively normal pricing scheme.
Too bad this is roblox and I don’t have any interest in spending money on robux.
…Unless of course AO expansion is good…
(I probably wouldn’t get it though. Interestingly, some MMos use a pricing format of “buy expansion” as opposed to “subscription” which is cool.)
(Well, if it was an area I could play alongside the main game (Ex: on level areas that are scattered throughout the dlc world (maybe even a way for me to lower my level intentionally as well)) I would enjoy it. Post-game? probably not.)
i “love” vetex and ao but i’ll be real the story so far doesn’t interested me at all, the main draw of AO rn for is it vast customization so unless the story gets better im not paying all that
The difference between Arcane Oddysey & Entry Point is that you can’t add DLCs to an open world game like AO, that would give certain advantages to people, or would just be buyable lore that anyone will learn in no time. All while Entry Point is just a bunch of campaigns that are worth playing.
im not against a paid dlc… but 1k-3k robux is a crazy price (the highest price ive ever seen for a paid access game was a suggested 800 for an unreleased game… that i think got cancelled i forgot)
i think 200-400 would be reasonable (though given vetex values animation packs at like 300 this seems unrealistic if a dlc actually happened)
Honestly though, even if I’m not against a DLC I’d much prefer something like a spinoff game. A spinoff has alot more that can be done with it creativity-wise and doesnt have to be fit into AO’s story to work, it doesnt even have to fit perfectly into the lore depending on what it is. I can imagine alot of cool spinoff games could be made with different gameplay, story, lore, etc.
