vetex needs to stop adding random inconveniences for the sake of “immersion,” when I see my Lego character turn jet black due to standing in sameria for too long, I don’t think “wow this is so detailed” I think “what the fuck”

Its not so much that he can’t. Anything short of making the game unplayable/unfun is ultimately going to be a game of chicken between things that players don’t like about the game and a sunk cost fallacy coupled to what things players like about the game over another Roblox (or other) choice.
Its pure hubris to believe that Vetex has to do ANYTHING… Almost to the point that the meme with the kid shouting “your actions have consequences” with a hoarse voice comes to mind when I hear things like this. Like… Vetex can literally pull the plug on the game, invalidating the time and money of any and every player involved, and its not going to be grounds for a lawsuit.
Players have to think about it from the fundamental (existential) acceptance that a developer does not HAVE to listen to the playerbase. A developer does not HAVE to make quality-of-life changes, or probe for feedback on decisions.
This is also sadly same from Roblox, as anyone who has been on this platform for too long can tell you: there was a time when not every decision Roblox was making involved selling off their playerbase for as much profit as humanely possible.
Basically, join the club of all of us who are already asking ourselves “what the heck is this person thinking?”

I’m afraid to say that if people didn’t insult him, the changes would’ve actually went through. But that’s vetex’s fault, honestly he should’ve just tanked the insults and make the class name changes anyways
Like, I can’t help but feel this fanbase is spoiled rotten. The discord chat options were disabled because people were being piss-babies about names that dont affect immersion at all, even on principle.
I can say there’s a lot of things that I would like to (and by extension like NOT to) see in the game (and know none of those wishes would probably ever happen), but like people probably need to touch some grass and take a break from AO (or roblox) if they are upset over something as benign as class renames…
