Some elements can be seen as effective insulation against noise if you compare them to their real counterparts.
For example:

-ice
-earth
soundwaves travel faster through solids. However, sound is also less intense when traveling through solids. I should probably add damage reduction for clashes too
I think having ice/snow/cold elements as the main clash counter sounds good too since snow is notable for absorbing noise well
