On topic of that, how would reviving the gods work? In Greek Mythology and in AA lore they basically turn into near dust and stay as that for centuries (maybe even for a millennia) before reforming themselves. Does Durza just like clump up all of their particles using dead revival magic to reform their bodies?
He was revived yes, but meh he was barely around for like ten seconds before getting double teamed.
Anyway yeah, it’s not really certain how Durza revives gods. I would assume, as they are spiritual beings in corporeal vessels, that he is just bringing the body back
Another thing, if Durza is able to revive the gods with dead revival magic, a magic made by Hades, what is stopping Hades from reviving the entire Pantheon of Gods under his control?
possibly some sort of limit to power or just never thought of it + probably gameplay reasons. it wouldn’t make sense for him to be able to revive a ton of gods since that would essentially mean certain death
fucking dead or dying idk
Just pointing out because a lot of people are confused
Poseidon isn’t dead YET
The entire pantheon including Prometheus but excluding Apollo, Poseidon, and Hades are dead. (Good on hades for being chill underworld dude)
We are NOT a demigod. Tech said the ichor line is not saying we have gods blood. Besides, Poseidon would have called us ‘Child of [God]’ if that were so, instead of just referring to us as a warrior. And about the Calvus dialogue, it is made so crystal clear that he’s referring to something that happened with us as a result of the experiments performed on us, Wether or not the Order was behind the experiments is unknown for now, but it’s not because we’re a demigod.
Most other aspects of Greek myth (Titans, etc) don’t appear to be present
My point exactly, it is obviously explaining to us that we need to use various sauces and condiments for the whopper burger recipe.
Thing is, Poseidon specifically comments that “We have the strongest will of all legacies”, when we finish meditating on top of the Jaws spire
Legacies usually refers to descendants of the gods, or people with traces of the gods blood in them, through a demigod ancestor
Uhhhhhhhh…
Does he know?
The Apollo in the one shot pirates isn’t actually the god, it’s just a powerful human named Apollo
He isnt dead yet.
ohhhh ma gaidada
The “chill underworld dude” was the reason for durza getting the absorption curse, and the reason he got dead revival magic
Im aware. Hades in greek mythology did literally nothing wrong though. His only atrocity per se is the kidnapping of his future wife, which in some tellings wasnt even orchestrated by him (and they also have a happy marriage)
The main point though is that since he resides mainly in the underworld, he didnt get involved in the whole cursebeard massacre situation
maybe its really far down the family tree idk it’s been a really long time since most of the gods died out
maybe? but also like if you pick up morden’s journal while everyone is at windrow he says “I miss my family” in it so we did have a life before the order exprimented on us
but he says “people with your blood are destined for great things in this world”
and
“we believe your kind is the key to our true goal, so the order captures people like you to perform experiments on”
idk bc of this dialogue I think whatever made us special we’re born with it instead of us getting it while we were experimented on
I dont remember him saying this, to be honest. I dont think he even specifies “with your blood”
Regardless, tech said we arent a demigod/god/something related at all to a god
Its probably just some “potential” thing.
yeah he says it after the fight
anyways, its too early to tell at this point about what makes us special
idk what it means when poseidon says “the strongest will of all legacies though”
