ao kinda fell off so i might just make all my ao ocs just regular ocs
i mean mentally they were all already regular ocs months ago but i wanted to wait for AO to update the story
but it’s not updated so
of course they’re still gonna be in the AO verse when they game has story expansion but i’ll do other things with them as well
lowkey don’t have the brainpower right now to conjure up a whole new universe for them

ok maybe i lied i might make a new story for them but it’ll be completely unrelated to AO
unsure whether i should make them AO ocs that are doing their own story separate from the main story or if ill make a new world for them
leaning towards the latter but we’ll see
i’m on christmas break so i can maybe conjure up smth
orrrr i can js put them into a pre-existing world of mine and make them the main characters instead
i had another story i wanted to write and make a comic for but i couldn’t ever finish it because i couldn’t relate to the main character in a way where i could write how they’d move forward
if this happens ill probably dumb down the world building and have some parts be reminiscent of AO
i don’t rlly wanna completely change/alter my ocs

Bit of advice for worldbuilding as a whole: do what you want. If you don’t like making maps, don’t draw one. If you don’t like thinking about supply trade routes, don’t do so. If all you want is a wonderful world of whimsy, strive for it with all your might.

ever since I created Morrel all of my OCs have been practically original characters, even if they originated from world of magic or arcane odyssey. Heck, my two latest OCs (Consta Justice and Hayes Ignis) were created from some of my roblox avatars since i thought they looked cool and could create more complex ideas involving the two.

honestly this is prob the best move to have. ao won’t be updating for a while. it definitely is more fun creating a seperate story for your ocs as it can challenge your creativity and you aren’t stuck to ao canon. you could still keep some elements of your ao ocs, there’s definitely a lot of inspirations that can come around.

i mean a small part of me also doesn’t wanna let go of AO because the game gave me so many unforgettable memories and i made friends i wouldn’t have otherwise
but i mean tbh people are leaving for a reason and the community is just
full of toxicity that i can’t fully expand on
otherwise i’d be writing paragraphs lol
