I think Iâve got one. When I was taking pictures for the wikiâs Obolus page, specifically its diving point, I found one, killed the fish, and started screenshotting. After I did my third or so picture, I see White Eyesâ hp bar across my screen. Your pc freezes when you press f11, so I couldnât notice it earlier - my screen was locked to the frame I took the screenshot from, so the White Eyes was already on its way. Adding onto that, I had a mythical chart I didnât want to lose, and I lacked stamina due to being suspended in water - had to make a clean shot of the diving point, after all. I have no idea how I escaped that situation, but I got back on my ship. Then, I decided to shoot that White Eyes for loot, I take the wheel and look underwater. There were two of them. I escaped two White Eyes that day and lived to dig the mythical chart.
Once when I was in the dark sea with a friend our ship was at low durability so we stopped at an island, but we parked in the corner and somehow, some way, an extremely powerful atlantean got on our ship and we had to fight that thing (which was only using a single weapon luckily) on two brigs and NOTHING ELSE because the islandâs walls were tall. If we steered the ship to run weâd be killed and if we tried to climb upwards weâd be killed. Ever since then our souls have been trapped in the dark sea.
Moral of the story? Always reverse park.
If you want to kill an Atlantean on your ship, just jump into the water and sink to the bottom of the Dark Sea. Its AI will prob not attack you, and Atlanteans donât sink, just like any other npc, so you can shoot it down with ranged attacks eventually. You are wearing a full set of air capacity jewels, right? Who wouldnât have that on all the time anyway?
