Suggestion outside suggestions? How horrific!

OH I DO GOTTA NOTE!
This would likely NOT apply towards cargo, only sealed chests

For example on what I’m talking about:

No matter how much I open or refresh the message, it doesn’t raise the count.

And my application literally accepted in a day :sob:

Ever since the update i feel like the general ping has gone up for many people that aren’t in the main server areas- hell, i am in german and i still get ping from 150-250 in german based areas even tho my net is workin just fine, but that may just be fort castrum

Some stuff I recommend when making an application though are:

  • When mods or suggestor recruiter are online
  • Suggestion format (As long as you can make it easy to read and organized)

Other than that, goodluck on your application! :+1:

in recency they’ve lost interest overall, may come back another time Suggestion role? - #4 by Misinput

Damn that’s actually sad though I understand their frustrations :sob: . There should be at least one of them looking at it though, like Meta since he’s the only one really active in checking stuff, since I see some new suggestors every now and then.

yeah i get how they feel, it’s definitely gotta be frustrating

some dev’s had already made a thing where it can DETECT the player has lost connection or any sort of bug on their part, Vetex could implement that, but idk how it would work… But dear god please, VETEX OPT the game, like we want content, but every one in a while please opt the game, I love the game a lot and man its laggy, like, VERY laggy…

I think after full release vetex should just set aside a full update dedicated to bug fixes, since full release is so huge it should keep us occupied and hopefully will not make the game die off from lack of content

Some solutions:

  1. Leaving while in combat causes you to lose all of your stored chests/cargo.
  2. All this helps with in the Dark Sea is cleaning up the deck of your ship. Meaning if you leave in the Dark Sea, it’s still gone.
  3. Cargo when leaving loses a flat -20 Galleons to the profit you get from them.
  4. Stored Cargo takes 15% longer to use for repairs.
  5. Sealed Chests when leaving while outside of combat receive a modifier that gives them a 33% chance to have one less drop.

The day vetex adds qol is the day he optimises the game.

Risk or cash in my ass, if no matter how skilled you are still brings a chance to lose all your progress every second then that isn’t a game that’s a dumpster fire

Second point would probably not fully work as this is an attempt to make loss through disconnects less frequent- well, unless they do add a detection of such, albeit i am unsure as to how such could work.

Rest seems like pretty interesting ideas tho :3

Should probably update the title since this is meant as discussion of the idea more than anything (idrc about getting it into suggestions or not, i wanted to mostly address it and see what others have to say), does anyone have a title plan?

Unless your position is saved in the Dark Sea which is ONLY reasonable if the Dark Sea was a separate instance. Any and all attempts to try to justify keeping your Dark Sealed Chests are null, since once you’re done, you can just leave and rejoin, appearing in the main Bronze/Nimbus Sea. Making the Dark Sea 1 trip in, log out, and profit.

can you elaborate ? i feel like risk & reward is like one of the fundamentals of games, not really sure what you mean here

If you’re punished for having weaker internet connection or a lower-end device, that isn’t risk and reward, that’s bullshit

its like if i was in a casino and i kept winning over and over and then the casino closed and i didnt get anything

yeah that’s bullshit, but that’s not really associated with the game itself
under similar ideas combat logging should be removed in case someone lags out instead of leaving or sea structure progression should be saved in case you lag out when trying for a diver badge
it’s a shame but that’s what comes with having a low end device/connection
