Then placing them around beginner areas, like Jaws, Dawn Island, near or ontop of things like cooking pots or other areas where missions take u
Iām not sure what the durtion on notes is for full release, but you used to be able to purchase a gamepass to have placed notes last longer
Here is a guide to help you out
First, the durable notes gamepass is a must have, itās only 30 robux and puts in some insane work.
Now, if you really want to gain appraisals, youāll have to be a shameless moron. Never place notes in the middle of nowhere, always hide them near chest spots and secrets, specially the most frequented ones.
You also need to know which islands are actually worth your time, and that most of your appraisals will come from new players. From my experience, these are the best islands to place notes in from roughly best to worst, including some key locations:
the literal best:
redwake - that infamous cooking pot is by far the most valuable spot in the game, Iāve seen a singular note there with 5k appraisals. You can also place notes in front of the scared tavernkeeper spot, the pushups npc, and the guy that gives you a free gun a bit later.
high value:
stepstones - on top of the climbing gear prompt, inside the secret, and near the skeleton near the top
dawn island - near morden, inside the cave with chests, and on the small rock with 3 chests, just donāt place them in the edges
cirrus - in the area with the sky apples near the cooking pot, the location of the quest treasure, and on top of the skyship spawner
pefkos - on top of the bounty hunter skeleton
frostmill - in front of the mayor, in front of enizor, and in front of the 3 chests on top of a house in the city
good value:
elm island - near kenton and inside the cooking pot
darkpine island - in front of the 3 chests at the top
goso jungle - in the watermelons
harvest island - in the pumpkins
forest of cernunno - between the chests in the center of the island, between the chests in the cemetery
shell island - on that spot with 3 or 4 chests to the east of the city, in a cliff and in the middle of that chest spot at the very top of the island
sameria - in front of the chest secret or inside it if theres a spot, on the cooking pot near the samerian ice guy, and every other spot with 3-4 chests (not as effective tho)
decent-low value (leave this for last, or just donāt do it):
fort talos - you can place 2 notes in the entrance area, and 1 in front of argosā arena
sailorās lodge - at the top
whispering caverns - in front of the water cave and on the pillar with 3 chests to the west
sandfall - on the small cliff with 2 chests facing east
ravenna - calvusā corridor
thorinās refuge - in front of his door or a bit inside his house
Small note: I canāt prove it, but I THINK there is a bug that nulls your offline appraisals if you join a server with a higher version than the one you placed your notes in, so try to keep that in mind
for some reason placing notes doesnāt consume the notebook, so 1 is enough

I donāt really count, but itās around 10. It also got that high because I didnāt touch the game for 10ish hours
nice, i cant even place notes on islands because they all say the islands have reached max notes, so.
i canāt place notes because the game keeps telling me iām not standing in a valid spot???
the island is probably full, and sometimes the game doesnāt load the notes properly so it looks empty even tho it isnāt
