i mean it’s known that AI definetly uses data on the internet for its image generations but alot of people says it copies when it doesn’t really. yeah it’s used in the ctraining for AI but it’s not really stealing (and courts havent yet decided beofre some says that bs)

Also I’m not “defending” ai art, I’m standing by it. There is a difference you should know.
I do understand that AI art may have some negative consequences, but I also understand that people will adjust and deal with it. for example, as I’ve mentioned in my now closed thread, big platforms (like DeviantArt) are currently taking percaussions in favor of their artists.
It’s just like photography, which I have also mentioned before. It was also detested years ago, but now it’s a formal and acceptable art form.

I’m going to respect beometric’s statement now and stop this discussion lol.

I think, regardless of legality, it should be up to the artist if their works can/can’t be used by AI.
You might not see the logic behind it, but even if the AI is only getting ‘inspired’ the same way humans do, its still a machine and people are uncomfortable with that.

I believe it’d be best for everyone to just respect that fact and for them to stop trying to data scrape artists who don’t want to be data scraped.
