Actually, it’s quite the opposite. No matter how flare moves, they can’t get him. As long as he doesn’t stay where he is, he’ll survive for now

Yeah, it says this is event 1, and it ends at 7 am. No time between turns was specified, so this probably is just going for 1 turn. That means you would go left up and crimson would go down right, because there is no other way to get a guaranteed elimination
