gotcha, good luck then!
Sand buff incoming
I got this somewhat wrong; the katana from kai does LESS damage than the old katana with skills so its actually a downgrade I think it might be similar with katana vs old katana, not sure. either way, pretty bad
weird as hell lol
on an unrelated note what should my first magic be for my mage file?
probably a magic that synergizes well or at least doesn’t subtract from other magics with its status effect
this is inconsistent, however, because the old claws do less than the silent blade.
I’m a gold user with a power build and depending on weapon it stays the same or deceases by 2 damage
Ill start by explaining how dmg scales in this game. Ignoring all armor, most of your damage is based on your level. More skill points in magic/weapon do NOT increase damage whatsoever , they simply allow to access more moves and higher tiers(aoe). The only exception to this is vitality, which lowers your dmg. At level 125, you are doing the maximum 100% “base” damage. This 100% will be lowered if you put vitality. Now this is where weapon level comes in. Old katana CANNOT be upgraded to level 100+, where as Kai Sabre can go all the way up to 150. Each weapon level will slighlty increase its skill dmg. Rare weapons such as sunken have even higher level caps. This means as we get stronger, weapons like old katana get obsolete as they cannot be further upgraded. Currently even a 110lvl Kai Sabre’s flying slash will always do more damage than old katana(ignoring armor/enchants).
I do agree with your imbuement issue tho, light imbuement should at the very least do the SAME dmg with weapons and not decrease it.
poison user imbuement should obviously do 1,000,000,000 damage per hit with weapons and have 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 tick damage
thank you for the explanation! after further testing prior to your comment I found that the level of the weapon item does slightly affect damage but I had no idea that most damage was based on user level. what you said makes sense
Lighter weapons will have their skills move faster im pretty sure
the only issue i have with conjurer is that solid magic imbuements are literally just 5 or so blocks with the texture of your magic put onto your blade. simply putting the magic texture on the blade itself would look phenomenally better.
Warlocks out here with the same problem but with smaller hitbox options and a rush move that doesn’t register 60% of the time🗿and if u give moves like shot the same hitbox as the katana projectile you end up hitting like an infant
This post is old, but you often end up dealing more damage with imbuements active than without. They receive self synergy buffs and apply status effects/alternative magic stats.
You can make your weapon skills unavoidable by building towards AOE, and your base damage is not that much of a negative since weapons consistently have the highest base damage outright.
Explosion warlock will be meta one day
