Heavily nerfing it would make air cap jewels worthless, then what? Buff them again until theyre nearly as good as they were previously? Then whats the point of the bug fix to begin with? And if you dont buff them then whats the point of air cap jewels compared to waterbreathing pots to begin with?

His points are that wb 5 potions are significantly easier to make than a full air capacity set and thus you should be rewarded for full air capac

And that not being able to have inf duration would make swimspeed + wb 4 more viable

i get it but i still dont really want the rewarrd to be infinite air in water with 100% energy cap personally

After skimming through the whole 200+ message thread I think you were the only person that brought up the potion buff cap, which is my personal biggest gripe with the air capacity gem nerf.

Although infinite breathing getting nerfed is really inconvenient, I don’t mind finally having a use for all the seaweed collecting dust in my inventory. I just don’t want to waste a buff slot on waterbreathing when I could potentially be using it for something like luck or sharkrepel.

I guess you’d just pick a minimum value for full air capacity to be viable and then try centering the argument around that

because vetex needed to make them so potion reagents could be accessible before the dark sea was released. just in case you got confused i meant pointless for endgame players like ourselves

You could do that but it would have to be long enough to give an inf air impression. 20 minutes is just a time i threw out there but further discussion for a more accurate amount of time could be done

The patch notes even say that potions are basically required to loot abyssal diving spots, idk why you’d expect 10 regular jewels to be that strong especially when jewel effects are permanent
