I theorize that the cube is the curse, and he basically has to hold it or hide it somewhere within what he wears in order to use it allowing the wind to carry all the sound of magic of the world towards himself as he listens

but currse doessnt wwork that way, they literally become part ofthe user body upon fusing, the only way to seperate them we known of so far is the devourer, which literally kill them (or the absoprtion curse ig)

i think Cazal is just always walking around with Insanity 5, no warding, and survives solely by being on very good terms with chaos, so he’s just zooted out of his mind pretty much
but I do think the words that come from his mouth are true, which I interpret as him using the wind curse to become one with the natural air, which lets him lissten t just about everything.

as a proud owner of an almost max knockback wind mage I’d say fall damage
İ expect some thing like mass sacrifice ritual something that instantly erases the whole kingdom
He seems to have more abilities than just his wind curse, such as whatever that stone or item he holds is that lets him teleport
My guess is he committed some kind of atrocity so bad it attracted chaos and destroyed the entire kingdom. Cazal MIGHT be worse than epstein lowkey
