These are my headcanons for the trio in the endgame

“I never said my dad was dead, I just said I lost him”

im ngl you could probably make iris never return and no one would notice until like 2 seas later

wtf is he supposed to do rn though

we took down a baron and a high lord, and those two are the only ones that any of the group know are members of The Order

we as a group dont have any other leads into the order, and so we went to Sameria to try to help and support them against the war we unintentionally started (hence why we’re lying about our identities and what we’re doing)

chances are the war in the Nimbus Sea will lead us down the path to discovering more members of The Order and unravelling it even more

Look for leads.

Find some, stop wasting time with a war.

There are easier ways to find this sort of thing out.

Walk up to some random Ravenna citizen

“Are you in the order?”

i dont think you understand how leads work…

“find some” where?? the war is literally their best bet to finding more members of The Order and it places the group directly into War Seas politics, and we already know The Order consists of many high-ranking individuals in the kingdoms.

For all we know Skyhall could be part of The Order, we just dont know yet, same with Keraxe (even though vetex confirmed wotan isnt a high lord, our characters dont know ingame).

Our group IS looking, in the best place they can, the war.

I’m pretty sure morden is going by his own philosophy of “as long as you are alive to make new memories that’s all that matters” and doesn’t care as much about dismantling the order as you’d expect. Also he needs to practice his death curse a bit more

So if they find a member of the order, are they just gonna be like “whelp, seeya nilah!”

no??? nothing i said points to that at all

The new order member would become a focus, but if the war stops them from pursuing them we’d either get split up (with the player likely being the one going after the order member) or letting them go until they can be pursued freely (probably only if the player alone wouldnt be strong enough, Nilah would absolutely want Morden focused on the war due to his Death Curse)

im not sure where your getting these ideas from but theyre so incredibly misguided

bruh

not misguided but like… they dont make sense :sob:

either way the war is the best route for the group to figure out more about The Order and it’s members, its not much to go off of on its own but it’ll put them in the center of War Seas’ politics, where they’ll be more likely to root out potential Order members

Common L StockSounds take

Did I even make a take??

Idk man

morden’s, Im feeling is mostly motivated by revenge to the order.
Iris honestly already got her revenge after dismantling ravenna, hopefully vetex does something interesting with her

it does suck tho that we’re only in it for this subjective “good” of a world we dont even remember properly.

the inevitable falsehood of choice games where it will always end on that “be a hero” or “be a villain” ending

i yearn for more games that let you make choices that end in more than a good and bad ending (+ true ending aka supergood ending if youre lucky)

“In this game you get to make choices! You can either dedicate yourself to saving the entire world or kill everyone” thats not much of a choice is it?

if arcane odyssey does want more choices in the future i hope we get options like going back to The Order in spite of everything theyve done, sounds insane but you need to let the player make those terrible decisions and also not spare them from the consequences of said decisions (please “choice-based story games” stop constantly trying to steer people into the “best ending” let them ACTUALLY MAKE CHOICES!!)

To be fair we have no idea what vetex is cooking with the dialogue stats and ruthless/merciful, since we haven’t done anything explicitly evil with the ruthless trait yet
