I’ve found myself with a copy of Illustrator, and I’m making a magic circle, but Outer Glow is not cooperating.

here’s what i’ve got (if i make the full square black than the other two glows disappear)

i made some circles of my own a while ago based on space, time, creation, and imagination magic

space

based off a wireframe sphere and grids to show points in space

time

a spiral to symbolise the one-way movement of time, i didn’t want to do a clock or hourglass or something because those are manmade objects and i prefer fundamental designs

creation

the outer circle design takes notes from the alchemical symbol for creation, an 8/3 octagram, and the symbol on the inside is based on how everything is made up of smaller parts and that to create something large you first need to create something small, hence the increasingly sided shapes
it’s also in a bit of a different style to the space and time circles since i thought of those two as a set, and then creation and a transformation magic as another set, though i never made a transformation circle

imagination

design is based on eyes with infinity sign pupils themed around the mind’s inner eye, originally started as a combination of a dream and nightmare magic, dream being the cardinal direction eyes and nightmare being the ordinal ones
i thought of imagination magic during the forum curses events randomness hosted, but i’ve abandoned the idea because boy golly is it broken

the colours don’t really mean anything special, they’re just my three favourites in order

UPDATE:

• New symbol variant of Acid.

Yes, the topic definitely needs to be updated with all the new magic circles and symbols. I’ll get to that eventually, and I might even add some new designs to keep it fresh rather than just a simple update.

The way that the current acid symbol is just water but funny color, I really want this to be added into AO, even if that’s not the intent.
