In the dark sea, was fighting sirens, atlantean ship comes out of nowhere, get swept by a wave while fighting siren, got water poisoning, died right before reaching the bath.

Well, I didn’t think of calculating this before because I didn’t know of the odds, but it turns out that I’ve got an even unluckier event to share.
I used to count the amount of sea monsters that I killed per specie for the sake of it, and looking back on this record before I stopped playing AO, I’ve killed at least 72 poison jaws… and never got a single poison tooth dagger.
That’s a whopping (3/4)^72*100 chance of happening, a 0.0000001% possibility, or a 1/989 894 783 probability.

Have you been killing them with ship attachments? When the shark hunting update dropped they decided to cut all drop chances from sharks down to 1/3 if you kill them with anything else. (which i absolutely despise because they suck for trying to hit anything smaller than a whale)

Dark sea.
I get swept off my ship by a wave.
The wave drops me and I start swimming back.
I get swept further away by ANOTHER wave.
The wave drops me straight into white eyes.

This exact thing has happened to me twice.
People thought dark sea lightning was bad.

probably the time when i was in the middle of the dark sea aboard an atlantean ship when suddenly i get water poisoning. then a tornado spawns over my captain’s quarters and i die painfully

One time when I was looking for a gilded cauldron to make gilded luck potions I got to far reaches, thought that they might have a better chance of spawning them so I went on to explore there.

I got hit by some god knows what level atlantean nearly killing me in one hit, “luckily I have high agility” I thought “I can just retreat and go back to my ship” I thought… little did know that the remaining 400 health would be vaporized the second I tried to escape because of a lightning strike hitting me mid dash.

I could name a few instances

  1. Fighting a heat mage Atlantean in the second range, almost got one-shot by a combo it pulled off. I tried to run away, but the game really didn’t like that, so I got finished off by water poisoning before I reached my ship

  2. I returned from a Dark Sea voyage and somehow sailed between the two Fort Talos islands and got stuck, leading to me and my ship dying a slow, painful death

  3. I returned from another Dark Sea voyage and went to Thorin’s to sell my chests, only that my ship bugged and got stuck unloading, selling zero chests and getting stuck in place (thankfully, a mod gave me back the chests I lost)
