Warriors of the world, what weapons do you use?

odd. I used an electric grease on an old greatsword and the damage stat went from 1 to 0.925

corroding and melting is a 10% decrease

scorching and burning is a 12.5% decrease (i think)

poison has the highest decrease at 20% but it makes sense cus it also has the highest total dot (80%)

that’s all i know of

Dude, a sinbane for a crystal orb, I beg of you

silent blades musket sunken sword

warriors gonna use dense shadow daggers, ardent swiftstrider dual flintlocks, and a tempered swiftstrider musket w/ult piercing shot, all black quartz(its gonna be a sniper build)

tempered sunken sword (ultimate art dragon song, dragon fury, rising tide, and i forgot the other skills oops), ardent the one beyond reach dagger (forgot its name) with dagger throw (i don’t use the unique bc the cooldown is too long), sword step, and i forgot the other skills bc my memory is really bad <3

lastly i use armoured tower shield bc having a minimum 90% dmg reduction while blocking is very silly

actually I’m having a lot of trouble using all three of my weapons so I might temporarily run a shield just for that (if only any of the skills had been coded in)

yeah, it’s very unfortunate that the shield’s been neglected. All the Greatshield has is shield bash (strength crash with massive hitbox) and Stronghold Slam (leap into the air, smash down, 3 lingering hits). Granted, they are very strong when you build for them, but it sucks that there’s such limited skills available for the shield, especially with the divide between Shield and Greatshield classes not being able to use the opposite skills.

The general rule of thumb I like to follow when making proper warrior builds is one close aoe weapon, one long range weapon, and then one mobility weapon. For my current build, the long range and the mobility are the same weapon. Each would have their own role and it’s easy to be able to use all the skills.

I hope that when shield and greatshield get more of their skills added that they can fit the “close aoe” role as well. Currently, Greatshield can kind of fit that role but you’re very limited on your options

Problem is, I built entirely into dexterity, and that makes any attempt at AoE absolutely pitiful

I mean, if you use a greatsword as your close range AOE weapon, Dragon Song, Tempest, and Towering Impact are all very good without investing into size. I never build into size and it’s still incredibly easy to land those attacks

what stats do you for your armors? reach, size, or dex???

honestly, i almost always just invest in defense and power. if i were to pick a substat, it would be size or range. probably size.

rn i run a very unusual 8k health battle alchemist build; however, when i want to fight a boss or do some pvping when i don’t have potions, i run powerful sophragos robes, legs, and hood, then i run armoured frozen titanium pauldrons and helmet, all with defense gems. also, using a tower shield gives 224 extra defense. this gives around 2.5k health with 210 power. i feel like the stats from the weapons themselves with the playstyle i’d use means i don’t really need to invest in substats because the attacks are already fast enough or large enough for my liking.

How do you pick what enchants to use on weapons?

It’s honestly just preference. For a close range/aoe weapon, i’d prefer to use tempered (or strong, if i don’t want the size decrease) or dense. More than likely dense because the speed decrease isn’t that bad when your size is so large. For your mobility or ranged weapon, tempered or ardent is nice. I prefer ardent just because of the extra speed.

For instance, my loadout is:

Tempered Melting Sunken Sword

Ardent Schorching Nocturne

Armoured Blinding Spiked Tower Shield

In this case, I have two close range/aoe weapons, but I also have my dagger as my mobility weapon too, not just for ranged, as I run sword step on it.

Do you think regen would be good to run on warrior?

Regen is really good for multi-hit attacks, so it just depends on what kind of weapons you’re running.

Hm okay so do you think I should put corroding and melting on my weapons as well? I’m a lightning conjurer too, and the only grease I have is on my Elius spear, but that’s a slowness grease and idk if the slow is worth it.

oh definitely

i think slowness grease sucks :headstone:

Slowness in general sucks. It used to be a complete movement speed and agility debuff (i’m pretty sure slowness 5 was 50% movement speed and agility nerf). Now slowness 5 is purely a 25% agility debuff, which is almost unnoticeable.

how do you feel about scorch gel for a dual bladed weapon (that’s gonna hit very often)
