Even in the deadest cycles of the game, the pvers are still the ones actually logging on. Theres more incentive to just throw yourself into the dark sea or afk for fleets (you get w loots) than to run the mindless 1v1 for the umpteenth time. Infact the cycle can be reversed: pvp is truly only really immersive when updates first drop, as people are scrambling to break-even on builds, allowing for an era of unexplored build diversity before the time eventually kicks back, and the break-evens have been found
if this was true then everyone would use imbued arcanium mage coat (150~ EP) and its price would be around sunken but it sucks
what gives price is the rarity of the item and the time to get it
for example seasonals has 0 EP but their price is stupid bc they are unobteinable
