The weird thing is that some times when I play AO my GPU is dying and other times it’s perfectly fine even though I didn’t modified anything in the settings
fuck you todd howard i can’t do that
The only thing worth an upgrade in my PC is the GPU (NVIDIA GT 1030)
both my CPU and GPU are old ass bitches, the CPU’s like 12 years old
the problem is that it’d be expensive as FUCK to upgrade and i don’t want to get a job in the middle of the school year
and then if i end up going to college i’d have to worry about that too
i don’t wanna deal with debt
Me who literally can’t do that in my country:

Threw this together in like 20 seconds but you could probably do this
I don’t have a budget to actually work around though
Although in all honesty, if you’re CPU is 12 years old then your GPU should be around as old. Which implies to me that you might as well get a new PC, and that’s especially true depending on what career path you decide to get into.
I have a friend who gets higher fps at Sea of Thieves than in AO like wth bruh It’s basically the same case for me as well
the GPU’s like 7 or 8, it’s a gtx 970
GTX 970 should still be fine for Roblox games, but nowadays it’s pretty expensive to get a new GPU (at least Nvidia)
This is just some examples of lower price GPUs that are still pretty good
Even UserBenchmark which is usually biased towards Nvidia and Intel products is basically saying a 6600 is +75% your current performance (XT variant for ~50 USD more is ~+118%). Honestly, mostly everything you can get today is probably a significant upgrade to your current set-up. Not sure of your budget, but if you can’t afford a PC upgrade after 12 years then I think you have bigger problems than even worrying about college. Here’s hoping you get a good scholarship and/or you have an organization like my state does that provides students that do well in high school with 75% coverage or full coverage for their tuition costs.
If you do (even if you don’t), take advantage of any dual enrollment opportunities you can. Largely because then you don’t have to worry about applying for colleges and can just immediately move into said college (one I went to if you did well enough would basically pay for your tuition and I think books).
…i can kind of afford this.
the main reason why i’m hesitant is because even with the money i have, i’ve heard that it’s really good to save it while i’m young and maybe invest it if i wanna have a lot of money when (if) i retire
but once i get a job it might not matter as much since i’m probably gonna be putting good percentages of my paycheck into savings anyway
i’ve already gotten into concurrent enrollment for the classes i could this year
better yet, don’t use chrome
vetex said a huge bit of the lag comes from waves calculating collision physics, which is a roblox bug that has existed since 2016
Me when roblox doesn’t fix a crucial bugs that has plagued on game performance for years:
Average Roblox move
Man we’re all gonna die at the age of 40-50 just spend the money as long as you don’t go broke or into debt
The constant excuses for optimization absolutely tilt me every day. The onus is certainly not on Roblox for optimizing this hellpit. He needs to consult a dev or two who actually figured out how to optimize their games.
It wouldn’t be nearly as bad if the random choking fits the game has didn’t affect core systems like movement, fishing, energy regeneration and attacking, but it all combines together to make playing this game feel absolutely miserable on most days.
This current update has only managed to curb these issues a mite bit, but it’s only a matter of an hour or two before I notice performance beginning to struggle here and there all over again… The culprit for the immense performance drops and Memory Leaks™ need to be found, because it’s CERTAINLY a reason this games’ playercount crumbles into dirt a week or so after these Biggish Updates.
Bruh everything in AO can cause memory leaks that’s horrible
I’m sure that dirt is a thing that can create a memory leak
That only really applies until you’re like 30+, and even then you can still invest in things when you’re middle aged. Most of the money you’ll probably make won’t happen right now, so regardless, you likely don’t have much to invest anyways.
