DoT still does damage and lowering if not pretty much disabling health regen is still extremely useful, not to mention the couple of situations I’ve been in where burn finishes someone off
also, bleed synergy still matters quite a bit? it’s literally free damage?
fun fact: snow doesn’t clear or have any synergy with bleeding 
meanwhile ice does I believe a MASSIVE +35% more or +40% more damage to bleeding targets.
further insinuating my point that snow is an awfully mediocre magic that falls behind it’s competitors.

let’s be honest you use explosion for at least 1 of these reasons:
you cosplay as that explosion girl thing from that anime idk (weirdo)
you are a demon rep who just wants to destroy everything
you saw that video flamingo made on the game and you copied him because you thought it would be super funny
you like obnoxiously loud or bright magics but didn’t wanna be a basic bitch and pick fire or plasma or something (ironically you somehow became even more basic)

Acid, Wood, and Ink. Idk. They just kinda seem like “eh” magics. They can work but I’m sure there are also better alternatives. They also aren’t the worse. Just the first things that came to mind. No special or intense thoughts put into these choices.
