That’s a relief. I cannot describe the horror I felt when I first saw the word being spelled “programme”.
It’s not, Yrni0 is probably is just being intentionally pretentious to bug people.
However, @Yrni0 if you do actually believe that “complexity” makes a language superior, then I reccomend you start learning French or Finnish.
Ever heard of Russian or Chinese? They’re pretty complex from what I’ve heard and seen of them.
Also, come on, it’s not like the American language is poetic. Where is the beauty in a language that cannot be used beautifully?
I know that pretending to hate British people is something people like to joke about, but still I don’t want the mods to have to lock this thread.
How could I be so stupid? I forgot to reccomend that you learn should Chinese too, since Chinese is 1: tonal, and 2: it has hundreds if not thousands of characters.
Speaking of complexity, if you like having it in stories too, then I reccommend reading Homestuck if you haven’t already.
And this is an empty nothing burger of a statement. Cool. How can you say that amerixan english “cannot be used beautifully”? I’d argue every language can. Read something and maybe try being a little less pretentious
I cast polish.
secondly I cast Limbus Company and Project Moon’s works in general for narrative complexity.
ok so play project moon games in polish got it
cannot be used buttifully hahahahahahaha
I cast strawman + ad hominem + bias + flawed premise + lack of understanding + “your preferences are wrong”
if i’m writing formally, british spellings
if i’m writing informatlly, american spellings
simple
this statement is both ignorant and pretentious. america has produced plenty of famous poets such as emily dickinson, robert frost, and edgar allan poe. to imply such a difference in style and beauty as a result of a slight few letters changing seems most likely to me to be merely rooted in a subconscious bias toward britain (or perhaps against america) and any sort of notion of poshness or refinement that it is often afforded rather than any kind of actually qualitative assessment
English isn’t my first language, i found british accent is abit hard to pronounce than the american. but sometimes there’s time where i mix both of em
lowk cooked with colour and grey
I cast hassty generalization + false cause fallacy + bias (proly)
fallacy fallacy
“thats a fallacy” without elaborating
just search them up vro
burden of proof falls on the claimant vro
i dont have to educate you vro
that falls on your school system
ignorance is not my responsibility
