My moneys still on Paladin:
Savant will still be hard to manage lol (especially if you decide to go 4-way), and again they catn double imbue as of Full Release, we aren’t getting that until 2nd awakening.
With the Weapon Skill cost change (skill notes need a minimum weapon level to use: Reminders for AO (Part 4) - #3766 by StockSounds), Savant will get less out of potential Strength/Arcanium weapons, or will have to sacrifice their other stats just for the imbue.
Savant will definitely be good in the hands of a great Player, but I think Paladin might just edge it out by being easier to use, and still getting a ton of imbuement benefits.
Magic Imbued Spirit / Spirit Imbued Magic gives Paladin a good amount of Variety in Offensive ranges with CqC AND long range like conj, alongside Spirit coming with a ton of utility (like Nictethesis) AND the ability for Magic to be viable in the relationship.
