What a coincidence, I once was drafting a suggestion about adding something akin to regions to the Dark Sea several months ago, probably a little after the Empiresā Update.
For that reason, youāve got my attention. Iāll be waiting for its publication.
The issue of the Dark sea is that itās 5% skill 95% luck
different regions affected by the magic radiation of specific magics from durzaās fumble would be awesome
also i think there needs to be variety in the monsters in the dark sea, not just atlantean with random stats
like, actual monsters that arenāt reskinned high hp versions of existing creatures/enemies
the dark sea is such an awesome and cool concept, itās just so underutilized and so little of it is actually expanded upon
-placed rifts ruin i0 farming since they block movement options (sailing around aimlessly for islands then ending up back at the rifts) so you have to go to i1 minimum now to get islands and chests easily
-takes forever to get to the far reaches to get the things you actually use (gold cauldrons/pots, hecates and moly)
-islands are way to tall/big and have like 50 different ledges and heights to get anything done so people just max movement speed and just speedrun the islands without collecting any chests cause fuck that
-fuck acid waves, shadow tornados, empty tree forests with the useless tower that has awful loot, atl brigs that spawn while your on a island and sinks your ship in less than 1 min, the omen (i aint swapping to a mage build just to use arrows on the worst boss in the game) and tornados that spawn right in the middle of the island
-praise the flare gun and vetex removing the ship rocking so you can place big food plates/brews down easily now
