What is you guys opinion on the maria boss fight?

the problem with most of the bosses is that they don’t have a lot of punishable moves. Calvus has the pillar, Argos has the big slam and beast instinct, carina has the tornado thing + axe slash, Elius stays on the pillar. these bosses all have a certain move/attack with a small delay or expected position that the player can attack them on.
Maria just moves around and has freaking iframes in her most punishable attack, which doesn’t even make sense.

BUT it is the most aesthetically cool fight so far with the tentacles.

She’s super easy but was fun and unique to fight, also nice drip

Honestly yeah, to the point I can’t even tell what move she is using until I get hit by it. Also, with her gear she blends into the floor anyway so even if I’m above deck I’m just guessing where she is.

vetex should turn the invincibility phase into a shield which absorbs 100% of the damage she takes but has like 600 health
if it breaks, she gets interrupted and is stunned for 1.5 seconds

I found her pretty easy ngl. The second phase was bugged the first time which was annoying but all i had was lightning to kill her since she had the soaked effect on her. For phase 2 with the annoying hand’s and the waves, i litteraly just flash dodged out of the way. i was on a good pc but idk about low end ones.

oh, her gun m1s are definitely readable, you just need to react to them in 0.5 seconds in the pitch black darkness. she takes a very slight moment to aim them with an animation

The damage needs to be nerfed or she needs to have a readable moveset

true, it’s hard to see where all the bosses are with all the teleports, at least you can see calvus

just see the future, that’s how i dodge most attacks like that

ah yes

I too should awaken my third eye in order to enjoy a lego game with more plotholes than swiss cheese

ok i can relate with this one, how can maria launch 5 attacks within 2 seconds while it takes me two seconds to equip a musket??

1, wait iris teleports?
2, at least the arena is small enough to see where she dashes

camp the front of the arena
you get a big view of the arena and can see attacks coming, also the tentacles dont reach that place (still, hold G as much as possible)
also, its the cargo hold of the ship, its meant to be cluttery

you do enough damage to stun her, then while she is stunned you do enough damage to continue stunning her, and then you do more damage to stun her even more, so on and so forth in a stun-lock of some sorts

You get 2 hits on her and then bam youre down 900 health

No matter what build i have played on, the ONLY thing that has worked without minmaxed stats beforehand is to spam blasts from above the ship and then wait. That is just garbage design.
