That would be strange and no, there aren’t arcanium cannonballs
arcanium cannons?
they’re a cannon type, which have a unique magic attuned to it, and gives those kinds of properties to the cannonballs
and they’re not made of arcanium?
the cannon is made of arcanium, or at least some parts of it
but it doesn’t scale with magic?
no, the cannons have their own magic infused into them
so do the legendary weapons from AA
It doesn’t scale with the player’s stats, its damage is determined by the stats of the magic itself (ex. explosion has high destruction so explosion cannons do more damage to ships than poison cannons)
Ok fine, but then surely it must use magic energy, which wardens will run out of faster
Mage better
Why would a cannon be affected by player’s stats?
Why would a gun be affected by a player’s stats?
Ships have their own magic energy storage, which is a stat like sailing speed and wind resistance; I believe it can be increased through equips and deckhands, but it’s not tied to your character’s magic energy in any way
Because it’s affected by player stats. A cannon would be affected by the ships separate stats
That still makes no sense. A gun is affected by the gun’s separate stats but it’s also affected by player stats, and a cannon is just a large gun
A gun is a weapon type that a player can use, it has weapon skills and such. A cannon has not such properties so it is only affected by the ship stats. The same thing would happen if we eventually got a weapon that was just a cannon
I guess, but I think it’d be more likely that if we got a weapon cannon it would have weapon skills
