When i was a kid i had no idea what i wanted to do i just wanted to mooch off my parents and live doing nothing as my parents are kinda sorta well off

Then i grew up slightly and realized that’s not viable so i then wanted to be a musician and got into music school when i was like 8. Then i realized i hated it and finished music school when i was 16 never to play the piano again :skull:

Then i remember in middle school i had nooo idea what i wanted to do and we had to fill out this paper for our dream career or smth so i just wrote journalist cuz i made it up on the spot and my teacher was like “oooh you’re very ambitious!!” Then i realized i could never be a journalist cuz no

Then in high school i realized i’m actually okay at writing and thought of becoming an author but then i realized i’m not good enough and also it’d be too hard. Then i realized i was really good at english at least compared to everybody else in school so i thought i could become an english teacher. I also realized i was really good at biology so i was thinking of becoming a biologist. Then i realized i could never be a teacher as they get paid jack shit and i’d kms if i had to be around kids. Biologist? boring

So there i was sitting filling out my uni applications having no fucking clue what i wanted to study and then my mom suggested smth and i was like eh fuck it

So i got in and now i’m finishing my first year of uni. Let’s just say i’m studying a lot of chemistry :skull: which is funny cuz i sucked at chemistry in school and still suck. I also had to study animal anatomy a lot for my first year so erm… yeah ik a lot about animal bones (hopefully this doesn’t get me doxed :sob:)

i wanted to be an animator till i realized how shitty it is to work in the industry, nowdays i just keep my animating passion to a hobby level

Erm kinda like it’s not just chemistry but i don’t wanna say too much cuz it’s very specific but like it has stuff to do with animals and food pretty much

I don’t know how this job wasn’t mentioned, but I REALLY wanted to be a mathematician when I was in elementary, being an asian not only made math easy for me but understanding/applying it became far easier.

I’ve grown out of that phase long ago, and in retrospect, being a math major would suck heavily because barely any jobs exist for JUST math alone, it’s always medium-tier math in engineering, statistics, or every-day life, which is something I’ve grown to accept. I’m now aiming towards the medical field, no specifics though. But I still retain the math genes however so lucky me I guess.
