What would happen if/how would you feel ao had deepwoken pips?

i dont even know what a needle is why would i care

With Glided needles you can choose your pips (Crafted using 3 Smith needles and 1 gold)

With Smith needles the pips are randomly rerolled( crafted by combining 5 Smith’s Alloys)

With froge needles you can add pips (Crafted using 1 Armorer’s Needle and 3 Smith’s Alloys OR 1 Gilded Needle and 1 Smith’s Alloy)

I’ve heard of permadeath being an interesting take on longer games, a short video I watched recommended turning down the difficulty ā€œOne option below the one you find yourself usuallyā€œ

I like the idea, and i’m sure that’s interesting, but if I’m over halfway a game, and I lose all my progress, I’m dropping it, maybe that’s just me though

I’d have to like the game an unnatural amount to actually consider starting over

The music is peak.

The lore is too, to a lesser extent.

The lore is what AO wishes it was. Without perma death, I know I feel like a broken record. It would have a great game in the vein or dark souls or Elden ring (obviously to like Roblox standards lol). What could of been

I feel like permadeath enhances it somewhat in terms of lore & ā€œemotional impactā€ the lore has, but other than that it’s just annoying

It’s only for the lore and like death is punishing enough without perma death. You lose a chunk of your stuff, notes (money), and if you’re in the second layer if you light hook you lose anything gained in the 2nd layer

What about the gameplay (the main part of a game)

The mobility while a little weird at first feels fun when you get use to it and a glider unlike AO is fun to use and recommended with sailing you gotta adjusts your sails to the wind which is a cute feature. Blocking, dodging, parrying actually feels good and rewording and you fit venting which is a get off me tool. If you like combing you can do that and it’s not just a sniper battle in the sky. Despite being grounded combat you can make very mobile builds. Enemies and bosses actually telegraph so learning move sets is fun (perma death makes it not fun)
