alright, ill just tell you the average moveset of a smash character in words then
there is the neutral attack, officially known in the games before ultimate as a standard attack or weak attack, also named a jab by the community, which is the most basic attack a fighter can attack with.
there is the tilt attack, officially known before ultimate as a strong attack, which is a ground attack performed by lightly pushing and holding, or tilting the control stick or d pad in a direction and pressing the attack button, without smashing it as for a smash attack (NOT final smash).
there is the smash attack (like i said, NOT final smash), which is a grounded move which is used to deal finishing blows to a opponent, which is perfomed by tapping the control stick and pressing the attack button at the same time.
there are aerial attacks are… well, you probably know already from the name of this type of attack.
there are also the dash attacks which are… well, attacks done while running.
there are the throws, which, you definetely know what they do already.
there are the floor attacks, which are done when a character is sitting or lying in the ground.
there are also the edge attacks, which are attacks perfomed while recovering from a edge hand, which is basiclly this:
and finally, for the attacks of the average smash character:
SPECIAL MOVES.
also refered to as B attacks because they are done with the B button of the nintendo controller.
these are basiclly unique attacks that have wildly diferent functions, unlike normal attacks, like the ones above.
there is the neutral special (insert GUN meme right here), which is usually reserved for a fighter’s only projectile, or a powerful attack with good KO power that can either be chargeable or have a long startup.
there is the side special, which usually tend to either be attacks that give the fighter a momentum boost in a singular direction that can be useful for approaching or horizontal recovery, or forward projectiles that can be used for deterring approaches, which is a offensive method a player uses to get close enough to their opponent to land a attack or start a combo.
there is the UP special, which is essentially, a fighter’s main recovery move (except for some VERY few) that give a fair amount of upward distance, and can either be damaging or non damaging, and almost all of them cause helplessness.
and FINALLY, to TRULY end down the attacks of the average smash fighter…
DOWN specials.
these are often the most gimmicky of a fighter’s special moves and the least straightforward, with most allowing the user to position themselves or their oponents, generate items, counterattack and retaliate, or utilize other forms of tactical advantages.
oh, and theres also the final smash, which is the strongest attack a fighter has, which can be done by obtaining a smash ball.
