Its pretty cut and dry from this quote that the result of his training his art was the capability of punching through magic energy. Other people practicing boxing doesn’t mean they’re all gonna be as good as him(Can boxing clash with magic? I haven’t used any fighting styles yet).
Anyways, for the sake of concluding this argument I’m just gonna say for the sake of the scenario magic would harm you the same way it would anything else in the AU. So someone like Iris who only really has magic is still capable of using magic to beat you.
Ya but that’s abnormal af for someone with such a limited lifespan and no magic when boxers with magic can easily live 500-1000 years and not be nearly as strong
That doesn’t prove anything though, just means he’s smarter and trained harder than them when it comes to boxing. The only reason he states as far as I’m aware here, is that he’s able to do it because he trained nearly non stop for 30 years, so I don’t see any reason to believe its because of any other reason than what he legit tells us is why he’s able to do what he does.
Plus doesn’t he have to have magic energy in his body since he’s not actually immune to magic, or was the thing about having magic in your body being what makes magic attacks hurt a more recent thing?
This was more recent, back then there was no indication people without magic abilities even had magic energy and it was outright stated it’s impossible for them to even open up their 1st mind back then while enizor is able to unlock magic in AO so a lot has changed
Ok so then none of this is actually relevant to the argument about magicless people being unaffected by most magic regardless if being magicless gave him an edge or not since its all outdated anyways.
Lore is not equal to gameplay. Otherwise guns would completely overrule the PVP and PVE system.
You could be level 125 and make placed explosions with 5 detonations, but each of them will deal like 40 damage or something, not enough to kill a Jaw Pirate. Now tell me, are Jaw Pirates > AO MC because they tanked one placed detonation? In lore ANY of them would die simply because it’s an explosion.
In Arcane Adventures everyone can use guns, and everyone can tank them. In lore, it’s still a solid projectile at high speeds entering your body and piercing through multiple of your organs.
If AU functioned in gameplay the same way it does in lore, we wouldn’t have made it past Shura.
