- PE definitely is my least favourite, and it has been ever since I started school.
- French sucks as well.
- Music. I liked the teacher, but I was straight-up bad at music. I played euphonium, and the sole purpose of being low brass in a band is just doing nothing or holding down a note for the entire song. Stupid me decided to do full-year music next year because I’m a lost cause when it comes to art and drama.
Forgot about that, yeah totally amending mine to PE
i don’t intend to sound like an entitled prick but i feel as if this is never really the case (unless there is a factor to do with yourself affecting your maths ability, e.g discalculia)
literally only a year and a half ago i had a maths teacher who threatened to kick me off my enrolled course because i couldn’t keep up in lesson
the two years prior i was disregarded by my maths teacher and ignored when asking for help in the subject which made me fall from being good at the subject as a kid to being incredibly average
my teachers didn’t contribute whatsoever to my passion for the subject and my love for maths came from participating and being a runner up in a video contest, which was completely independant from my school, my teachers, and my classroom lessons
i’m not saying a bad teacher doesn’t give a bad impression of the subject, but on the flip side your perception of a subject should also include factors outside of the classroom, such as extracirriculars and supercirriculars involving it
Was nver god at engrish
so tue
apologies replying and deleting my messages like 2 times beforehand self-consciousness happened twice in a row somehow LOL
fair point, I don’t see much material of the latter (ATLEAST IN MY SCHOOL) so that’s definitely a contributing factor but uhhh..
I really do not understand why the hate for maths specifically when the things you mentioned could very well be applied to every subject
I’m an english major I love essays, in fact i have two subjects meant for it (literary analysis and academic english), so if you ever need help with writing please message me!! I’m like being 100% for real. I won’t charge you or anything, plus it helps me with my portfolio (writing examples) for class This applies to anybody else reading
im only discussing because it’s what i love the most about school - and what i wish to shape my career around, and that i’m well past studying other subjects (i only do further mathematics, physics & computer science in my a-levels, most other subjects i haven’t done since i was 14-15)
i get what you mean by saying that if a school doesn’t push you to develop a passion then you won’t have as much of an interest in something (and for the record, my current maths teachers are the best two ive ever had in my life - but they came AFTER i started taking a huge interest in maths)
fuck math (except geometry, i love geometry)
history is kinda close but only cause its kinda boring most of the time
Pre calc has been the subject that single-handedly made me hate math, which is honestly an accomplishment because I actually liked math quite a bit before that class.
Fair enough I guess, I do think it also depends on region as there was certainly a difference from teaching in the UK and then moving back in Eastern Europe and messing up my understanding of the subject.
As well as my latest teacher who everyone agrees they cannot teach (a few formulas and we’re suddenly meant to be masters), one guy’s parents moved him because of that one teacher as an idea
yea from talking to friends abroad ive found out that i should be rather grateful that i live in the uk and got taught mathematics here
Isnt math itself a science? Or do I know wrong?
so i actually… like school…
hardest for me is def math because it doesn’t come naturally, but I enjoy the grind
5 AP Classes next year pray for me guys
yeah usually people associate it with a category of subjects called “natural sciences”
i’d say it’s totally an odd one out in the group though
Languages: English, Latin, [native tongue], Italian
Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Psychology
Misc: Geography, History, Music, Arts, Ethics
That’s how I split it
i hate everything
i might be the only person who enjoys english
and that makes sense because other students use AI chatbots to get their homework done for it
like atleast put in the effort to learn, you’re flopping your exams that way
but yeah literature is cool, if only they gave us actually good texts
my most hated subjects
- math
- english
- nothing else
Me too ^_ ^in fact iapparently enjoy it so mcuh i decided to major in it somebody save me
