LMFAO. every company in this scenario seems so fucked. Apple points a finger at epic games for not complying with their bullshit, epic games deflects their bullshit to roblox and then roblox bullshits the bullshit by saying “nooo… its not games, these are experiences”.
I don’t think Epic did anything bad in this scenario. They are trying to build a store to compete with apple (just like how they got the epic store to compete with steam). Apple, for some reason, is allowed to have a monopoly on iPhone stores. Epic is using Roblox as an example of how Apple is pulling the “no stores” thing for Epic specifically and that it isn’t a problem for any other games.
Competition is needed for innovation. The app store is proof. Apple isn’t doing anything to innovate because they don’t have any competition. To publish a game to Apple, you need to pay an absurd subscription. The only way to make money on the apple store is to crank out games that are only designed to make money. Look at how mobile games have gone from Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride to Helix Jump and Knife Hit. Epic would bring some much-needed competition that would allow the mobile game scene to flourish. But Apple is abusing their power to erase competition.

I don’t get what Roblox is trying to do with this, but it’s funny either way.
I know Apple basically said to Epic “you want a game store on our app store to distribute games, but you won’t let us moderate it and you have porn games so we won’t allow you, sod off”, and then Epic replied with “Nah fam, Roblox does the same and you let them do it”.
Then Roblox HQ went brainstorming and what they came up with is Ctrl+R and then replace “game” with “experience” and the other stuff, despite not changing anything else.
Since Roblox just changed the name, I don’t think Apple will be able to let them slide, but still not allow Epic, because then they will rename it to “Epic adventure store, for Apple™” and they’ll get in too, or Apple removes Roblox, Minecraft and whatever else and receives huge backlash and puts themselves in a (slightly) worse financial situation, and since they’re a company, that’s bad for them.
We’ll see what happens in the next episode of Billion dollar corporation vs. Trillion dollar corporation.
