Because if you actually wanted to make a point on american imperialism you would talk about the various territories the us holds that are intentionally kept from becoming states to deprive them of voting rights because they dont fit the political agenda instead of the us overthrowing the hypermilitarist japanese government that was actively throwing citizens into a meat grinder that they knew theyd lose.
By the same logic the united states and soviets forcefully intervening in removing the nazi party from power intervening was imperialism.
Its pretty obvious youre approaching this from a “scoobert is wrong as a whole and therefore everything that he says must be factually incorrect” rather than “scoobert is using facts to back up a fundementally flawed argument.”
Hes stating true facts (the united states does indeed have the single most economic leverage on the planet behind the eu assuming you consider that a single entity) and using it to back up an incorrect point (the united states however does not have the most prosperous citizens, not due to lack wealth but rather improper distribution of it, as opposed to your claim that the lack of prosperous citizens proves lack of wealth)
