Too much pvp, can’t find pve, slowness legs wounds, ganked straight outside safezone.

When I think of the worst roblox games I played, it usually comes down to these;
GPO because of how much the beginning sucked
A fangame of a series that I really did enjoy. The fangame itself was just annoying and grueling to go through (there’s a difference between a hard game and one with poor design choices made).
And AR because I can’t even go into a server for 5 seconds without getting attacked by someone. That isn’t even a joke. (Also because of how much I hated the initial design of Prometheus)
Rogue lineage 100%
That game ruined my social life and broke my childhood innocence. I learned about true human nature and that we are all broken down by the cycle of violence.
The game is surrounded by some of the worst design choices imaginable. If atleast one of aspects from the Progression, Permadeath, and Players were good, the game wouldn’t be that bad to play. However, they all compound together to make the game experience abysmal.
The day mechanic is terrible for a roguelike or hardcore game. You need to wait an hour just to get basic movement (mana run and mana climb) which is required for combat and getting anywhere important. On top of that, you need to train climb for another half an hour. You need to wait even more if your class is chaotic and you need to get tomeless and sigil helm before you progress. This adds a meaningless timegate which halts progression. (Don’t forget edicts also have a 10-15 day req [except jester lmao])
The permadeath is way too punishing to those who are progressing and mostly inconsequential to those at the top. This ties to the fact that max level players are bored (and are sadists) and they will hunt down weak, progressing players for no benefit to themselves. You can’t hide from them either because they have better mobility and literal esp (illusionist observe). You can’t fight them either because they have more health and better combos. The fact that one of the main mechanics in the game is to literally leave the game (logging) should tell you something. Not to mention that this behavior is encouraged in Khei where ultras give percent downs to ubers.
Nobody plays the game legit (ignoring all closet and open exploiters). Everyone uses alts or flooded servers to boost themselves. Combat is full of people using the best classes with the best macros to delete your hp once they land a single hit. Seriously why does bane exist, its the most broken move in the game.
I understand that the game was originally closed community and was never meant to get that popular, but the fact that nothing was done to the progression until DW was released is crazy.

Update Ultimate Rogue Lineage was literally the most magical and one-of-a-kind game on the platform.
Fame city, I kind of hate the game now because it went from game where you can make money from racing, modeling which I found very fun where you also rp, to straight up a rp game that got pretty boring where you can also try to get famous on the game’s version of instagram, I think from when the game was still in alpha it started to gain a lot of players, right now it has a player count below 100
Bedwars and Islands
They just copied that shit from Hypixel (and other MC servers) and maximized the pay to win and grind to the max, idk how people even play that anymore.
Like GPO but then in update 5 it turned to shit

Rogue Lineage was great and horrible due to community. Instead of the community having a toxic side and a peaceful side, they’re both stitched together making it such an experience. Legit the game was only surviving due to this, it was getting like no updates and the most barely usable content imaginable but it was still thriving, the toxic people are like a predatory species in an animal preserve rather than a virus in a body. This also backfired due not only the game gatekeeping its content from new players but the toxic people did too, so when people left for good there was nobody to really fill the void.
Legit every good thing in the game was a bad thing and every (I mean most but saying every again is cooler) bad thing was a good thing, it’s so odd.
Idk why people are still playing it though, it’s dead and the community is like a lifeguard doing CPR to a burnt skeleton in terms of liveliness.
Also the Shirafune incident was some of the funniest stuff

It was so bad the community had to make it good, and they succeeded for a good amount of time
