A brief series of points as to why I think 4 way savants could and SHOULD have access to lost magic

yea savants should get losts but no hybrids should not get ancients

as cool as it sounds i simply cannot accept the power fantasy of hyrbids getting access to ancient/legendary types as purebuilds should literally be the only way to obtain them. like yes, id love my character to be an apoc warlock but i just simply cant think of why anyone would allow that

im not fun police when i say that WOULD BE broken, right??

I’d be fine with savants getting lost but only way later and if they focus on magic.

As long as hybrids don’t get access to ancient magics, legendary weapons and relics, or whatever the equivalent is for strength (unsure if ancient FS are a thing) then I’m good.

yeah exactly, like having a death imbuement on primordial titan combat or WHATEVER is just insanely overkill, its probably awesome and really cool BUT i think ancients should be tied to purebuilds only

fair enough hopefully we’ll see savants get access to lost magics, given they arent too strong etc

Ok what unique stuff will mage get excluding spells if hybrids get ancients

Also we could just give ancients and losts stat req that make it so savants can’t get them

Higher tier spells, duh.

…Did you even read the topic?

well they wont because ancients will be unlocked at level 450 for mages, which means they’ll need 900 magic investment, hybrids will get a max of 720

I literally said

Excluding spells

Yes savants shouldn’t get losts

Well you blatantly ignored the entire point of this post being about why savants should be allowed lost magics so frankly I don’t care if I misread your post

Then why the fuck are you here

Get out

I sincerely doubt you have any actual real arguments

So legitimately just go away

Because I disagree with your opinion

Okay.

Why?

yes. they are.

light will be outsped by aether lightning, shadow probably gets outmatched by darkness

they are overall stronger, not just side-grades, because then there’d be no point to having them if they were “equal”

it wont be anything like all of them being objectively 2 times better, but they will overall have better stats/synergies/statuses/gimmicks, probably 25-50% or so

thats how math works?

lost magic - 600 magic invest minimum

sparrow thrust on triasta - 270 weapon invest minimum

iron leg crash - 80 strength minimum

this is why im saying you can’t apply lore reasoning for gameplay, it just doesnt work like that

600 minimum for losts ain’t that bad yooooo… haha…

600 magic

Split that other 600 however you want

Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel

And your source is?

Giving savants losts (and their other stat equivalents) will make savants straight up have more content than other classes and giving hybrids ancients(equivalents) will give the main classes basically nothing unique outside of spells, techniques, etc which are as a whole pretty much not that important overall to the quality of a class.

Okay hold on let’s use your logic for a moment here and say that losts are overall stronger than base magics

Do… do you not see how preventing savant from accessing losts is like, genuinely terrible game design? You’re actively punishing a build and forcing it to run the most basic low tier stuff permanently when other hybrids and pure builds will be getting losts around the MIDDLE OF THE STORY, why would ANYONE want to play savant other than it being a joke class? doesn’t that feel messed up?
