First Idea:
Explosion potions, would cause a explosion basically, with some kind of new reagent to craft them (Would be really funny with an aura potion or even just a drinkable one blowing yourself up)
Second Idea:
Boomerang Weapon type, like Sokka in ATLA
Third Idea:
Warding should provide some slight reduction/immunity against statuses depending on tier to make it viable in pvp and exploring rather than exclusively being a dark sea/insanity thing
Fourth Idea:
Rocks that you can throw at people, wouldn’t deal a lot of damage just kind of for funny, would get a few of them from breaking the rocks that drop coal/gems
Fifth Idea:
Burning potions and really any potion similar should apply the effect to the environment when thrown (pretty sure they don’t currently)
A burning potion should act like a molotov cocktail
Sixth Idea:
Better status visuals, burning should engulf the body and then slowly fade out as the duration ends, crystal should latch into your body and grow outwards before falling off/exploding depending on if the status ends or gets max stacks, etc etc many ideas you can do with this
yeah but that (to my knowledge) only affects the status of the type of potion you drink, warding could apply to all statuses including possibly environmental ones
well we don’t know the lore behind warding but we do know that insanity is caused by dense magical pollution, so warding must be a force that can counteract dense magical pollution, which would make sense that it can counteract not so dense magical pollution like a base fire move or something
eh.. i dont think so, warding reduces the effects of insanity but insanity is just the magic pollution affecting your mind, warding doesnt give you resistance to magic pollution itself bc that would mean it should reduces the damage from water poisoning and all dark sea embiroment damage too, thing that doesnt happens
well both cause it, the dark sea’s insanity is from acheron’s mega blast of doom and despair whereas akursius’ insanity is from chaos’ mega blast of doom and despair
ok… what i meant, magic energy and chaos are different bc chaos is like.. magic itself, the power of making a “blast” for example that is just shaped by the element of the user and explains why everyone could learn the same spells no matter the magic (or that is what i understand from the lore doc) , anyway back to the topic.
Warding reduces only the effect of insanity bc insanity is a mental disease induced by magic pollution, warding doesnt reduce the magic pollution, it reduces the mental symptoms of it, that is why insanity 5 kills you even if you have warding 6+, warding cant protect you from the power of magic pollution
kinda, but now i wonder what the new catalyst does to reduce the potency of the status effects, it affects chaos or it affects magic or idk… or maybe vetex forgot about the lore
fair enough though we don’t fully know until vetex drops some more lore about warding, insanity 5 could always just be unwardingable because its like checks and balances, or its just because vetex didn’t know what other way to make a world border than insanity 5 (which doesn’t even make sense in lore, it should be centered on the epicenter not past it lol)
