no it’s in the book of athena
gotta find it
was expecting some Roblox rant but actually some good points
The early story of One Piece was already complex and interesting with all the new character backstories, the different cultures of towns, the character development, foreshadowing etc. Just because it’s the beginning doesn’t mean it should be rushed and empty. The beginning is the most significant to the story.
yeah the early story was good but now its ass
“hmm how do i defeat this really strong opponent?“ just use MORE haki bro ![]()
also nimbus kinda didnt ramp up in complexity. it did for the first few chapters but then we got ‘my heart i loved her’ and ‘ATTACK BOAT’
waiting for the samerian evacuation to skyhall ![]()
i want there to be more parts in the story where there is a genuine sense of urgency, i just thought of this on the fly but imagine a part where we have to stop a curse user from literally eviscerating an island by hitting their attack while we can see the citizens running in peril.
another idea is that i genuinely want battles that we have with bosses to have impacts on the world, like say after a battle with a curse user there is a giant crater in one island
the person who hasn’t done the story watching in horror as you sink under the ground:
Imagine if the cliff we fought Allanon on was just permanently burnt and crusty after out battle. Completionists will inevitbly swing by the Nimbus Wilds again, so seeing that spot all messed up reminds them “oh yeah, that happened, that was cool”
Since people like this ramble here, I thought to extend it with post-FR thoughts.
… Yeah there was zero characterization for the pre-existing main cast, but we were instead introduced to new characters, and only introduced (very breifly).
At this point I’m just expecting the main campaign to only really care about where it sends us rather than giving time to the characters, which is a shame. They all feel like agents rather than individuals, which COULD be indirect commentary on the nature of war, but I feel the game hasn’t leaned into that.
Though in some flavor text (though I can’t remember from who) there was an interesting point about evil being a matter of perspective in the War Seas and how everyone has to kill. I hope something is done to extend these themes down the line
I mean that one chain he breaks is still hanging there afterward
To be fair my heart i loved her can be more interesting if the traitor prince is an order of aesir member. Then the poison knife actually makes sense since all the order wants to do is plunge skyhall into its destruction. And you foil them again.
No matter what though the writing is still nonsensical because why did the assassins not wait until Allanon’s wife was alone? They stabbed her when she was right next to: Allanon (the strongest dude in skyhall or at least top tier), his n1 bodyguard, several guards in general, and the player.
The fact that these fodder assassins werent caught is bullshit. In no universe does the player not see that and chases them down in 0.2 seconds.
Tbh just blame the cutscene and Vetex’s shitty storywriting
Guy’s got skills for developing but not a decent story: that’s kind of what Techlevel is for
what part of them escaping easily makes you think they were fodder? this was clearly a planned out attack and they wanted to frame the forsaken (assassin group) which is why they were wearing their clothes
they likely want to dismantle every faction of skyhall to plunge it into further chaos, getting rid of the assassin group by framing them as well as getting rid of the prince whose trying to make the most difference (making the skyship that can work in water as well, which the queen actively disproves of which is why i think shes part of the order)
as for the player, it was more important for us to rescue them than it was for us pursue their attackers, the guard were already sent after them and callahan ordered us to bring allanon and liara to the hospital, we didn’t know liara was dead until they told us
Still a shit plan since they would’ve been caught and their identities revealed if any of the present characters there showed any spec of competence.
The player
- Hears a woman screaming
- Looks directly at the scene of the murder
- Waits until Allanon gets there and gets stabbed
- Lets the assassins get away
And yes they are fodder. Allanon’s brother got fodderized by a single explosion when he left flying out of the room
The only thing going through my head in that scene was “why can’t I blow them up like the 40 other hooded figures kept pickpocketing me in towns”
on EVERYONE’S soul we wouldve atomized the assassins before allanon even had a chance to get shanked
I mean come ON, how did we not even atomize them AFTER they ran away? We had a shot so clear even a size abuser could have hit it with beam.
I am honestly confused why Allanon said he will not hurt his sister, and then decided to make the entirety of Skyhall fall into the sea right after.
Irrational thinking, after all. Destroying all of skyhall is technically less targeting to your sister than directly blasting her to elysium come.
