No, I’m pretty sure he’s the son of Cerynx and was there to find out why his father left him (cerynx) he’s not the actual son of Greenwish I believe.
In his dialogue he states Cernunno is his father

Oh mb, I thought he stated Cerynx was his father was why I thought that, got mixed up although imagine having an entire island named after your father

I cried when we reached the end of the marauding sea and Gaul Treviri appeared after killing Cernunno and said “This truly was, an Arcane Odyssey” And then proceeded to completely obliderate the rest of the habitable seas with the retcon curse
Even better was when he jumped out of the sea during the final Kraken boss fight and yelled “It’s Gaulin’ time” and Gauled all over its tentacles
That sounds like the type of word where you have no idea whether you’re allowed to say it
