But Death is just black and teal fog.

Who keeps reacting to my posts?

I mean Warren has inferno, maybe even the inferno curse, so that ship has sailed. That being said, he’s evenly matched with Wotan, the wood curse user, so the the Grand Fire curses don’t give unbeatable power.

Yeah, thats because if Warren has the Inferno Curse, he’s the worst user in history.

The Inferno Curse is stated to be tied with the DARKFLAME curse as the second strongest GFC. Warren could have been TORREN level, but instead he’s relative to… the wood curse user.

“But errm akxsthually skittle the Darkflame and Promethean Curses aren’t canon anymore!!!” :nerd:

That makes it WORSE. That means the Inferno Curse is the STRONGEST (non-scaling) CURSE in ALL OF THE AU. What…? Who the fuck is this fraud get him out of my face

My current headcanon states that Warren is a descendant of sir Gallahad, son of lord Lancelot who had the inferno curse, or Warren may be sir Gallahad himself.
I don’t think he’d be Lancelot, if he really incinerated the region in his fight with Agravain, that stuff must’ve attracted king Arthur’s attention who probably wouldn’t let a dude with what’s basically a “King Arthur #1 hater” badge hang around.

I don’t think Inferno is necessarily the strongest curse though. All that’s said is that the grand fire curses are “extremely powerful and dangerous”. Of course it’s going to have an elemental advantage over wood plus it’s a grand fire magic, but it’s not so broken that it shouldn’t be in the game.

is it bad that i only know the name gallahad from the kingsman movies

BRO GO WATCH MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL FOR FUCK’S SAKE GET SOME CULTURE (c s)

what name is fucking “monty python”
thats such a shit name like percy jackson

wood curse slander
curses do have a base strength that their users start with, but what’s significantly more important is the user themself
both warren and wotan have been around for a long time (more than 800 years apparently), likely long enough that the strength that they have gained themselves throughout their lives vastly outpaces the base strength of their curses and makes it almost negligible

The GFC are outright stated to be the strongest curses (in sheer power)

It was previously:

  1. Promethean
  2. Darkflame, Inferno
  3. Scorch
  4. Aethereal

The Promethean and Darkflame are gone, so Inferno is the strongest curse by means of retcon.

800 years of Curse-wielding just to be weaker than a Morock who held his Curse for at minimum between Y1600is (earliest date in AA, When King Ramses II was still alive) and Y1754 when he dies.

So Morock with less than a Century (at MAXIMUM) still solos both…

real…

Where is that stated outside the lore document? As far as I know only the games and that document are canon. The doc just says that they are “extremely powerful and dangerous” and that just refers to the curses, not the magics themselves.

AAAAEEEEEEEE, I hope plant magic will be in AO so I can make mimosa vermillion file

HEATHEN, HERETIC, PEASANT!!! (cs)

Outright implies that the GFCs are the strongest, the wording is left ambiguous because Vetex is clearly adding new Experimental Curses, which don’t typically follow the same formula as Elemental Curses.

The GFC have the STRONGEST raw output of power.

Earlier I added this, because the exception to the previous statement is the Experimental Curse we’re all familiar with, the Lazarus Curse.

The Lazarus Curse is the only Curse that could realistically outpace the GFCs, since everytime you die it’s a 2x multiplier to your power. In Old Lore, it was beat by the Darkflame Curse, which is why it wasn’t called the strongest, but in the new Revised AO Lore, yeah you could maybe say the Lazarus Curse beats the Inferno Curse, depends on the competency of the user.

yeah but still every time you die you’re gambling whether or not you die or get revived
sooner or later you will die permanently

i thought it was based off the golden ratio
